The displays are very nicely put together. I was glad to see the Freedom Frontier display in small town Kansas.

The museum has a great variety of historical significant displays. What drew me in for the most recent visit is a new one about the Underground Railroad in Territorial Kansas. It is an excellent opportunity to learn about life in Kansas during that period.

Incredible collection of artifacts detailing the interesting history of the area. Docent was super nice and informed...truly a scholar of history. Expect to be impressed with the exhibits.

Excellent small museum. Has a wide variety of artifacts and pictures. Large vehicles down to small Indian arrowheads.

In visiting the county seat of Wabaunsee county in Alma, (known as the city of native stone) a great place to stop and spend a couple of hours is at the local historical museum. For a town and county with a small population this large museum has a fantastic diverse display of artifacts. From Native American artifacts, farm implements, buggies, county native four star general Lewis Walt collection, to a massive historical photo archive.
This place has something for everyone.
You also can watch the local ladies quilting on many week days. The curator might also let your child ring the bell on the old fire truck.
