我和一个当地人参观了这个小佛寺。这是一个非常特别的地方，住着一位104岁的老和尚。该佛寺有许多在经历不同的冲突后归还给斯里兰卡的作品。很值得一看。

我们在科伦坡待了一段时间，偶然之间来到了这处景点看到了这里宏伟的寺庙。这里环境非常美丽而宁静，风景绝妙，独居风格。我们非常喜欢欣赏这里多年前留下来的东西，其中包括一些老式的英国汽车。置身其中，你偶尔会感觉自己就像是在超现实金砖四国的市场里逛来逛去，到处都是旧眼镜和各类珠宝。我个人最喜欢的是小佛像，它被放置在一个微型玻璃穹顶里，通过放大镜可以清晰地看到他的面容。

这个景点漂亮迷人，有很多东西可看。它的魅力在于迷乱的布局和结构。不幸的是，英语在标志、注释看板或海报中并不常见。有点遗憾，因为有太多的知识点要学习。此外天气炎热的时候，这里就像是一个桑拿浴室，建议景区不为了游客考虑，至少也应为文物和珍宝的建筑物的保护而控制一下温度。

Vihara不仅是科伦坡最大的佛教寺院，也是科伦坡最重要的佛教寺院。在2019年的波松节期间，寺庙里挤满了来自当地佛教团体的科伦坡人。在这里买的入场券，在附近的另一个佛教寺庙也有效。

这座像博物馆一样四周十分耀眼的佛寺有点像一个囤积者之家或一间拥挤的古董商店。庙里有各种各样的佛像，姿势有坐的，站的和躺着的，颜色也非常丰富，有金的，铜的，石头的，木制的以及白色的佛像，大小各不相同。附近湖上的宝塔里有更多的佛像，只是难以进入。

这是必须游览的景点。没有门票。让人沉浸在历史之中，非常美丽。这里没有太多游客，因为这里经历过炸弹爆炸，但是所有的安全措施让我感觉很安全。

在月圆节我去过几次，那里有点拥挤，但礼拜和冥想时仍然显得很安静。很容易到达。因为停车有点问题，我过去常常坐出租车去，或是抛下我丈夫。离纳瓦洛卡医院很近，就在科伦坡市中心前面。在这个地方的夜晚真是太美妙了。

我们跟着旅游团来这里参观，原以为寺庙总是大同小异，看了一个差不多就相当于看过了其他的了，但现在我们才知道，我们错的有多离谱，这个地方太令人吃惊了。世界上最小的佛像、佛陀的头发（舍利），寺庙里真的有成千上万的佛像，石头的、塑料的、金的，应有尽有。博物馆收藏了大量来自世界各地的佛教文物。所有来自捐献者的礼物都在寺庙周围展出，非常多，你能说出的，都被捐出了，有手表、音响等。我们在这里呆了两个小时，仅仅看了一些东西，以及从我们非常棒的导游哪里听了一些令人惊奇的故事。

Hi all, can foreigners take photos inside the temple with professional cameras? And are there any regulations on dress codes?

There was no issue with regards taking photographs around the site. With regards to dress code , shoes were left outside and I wore TShirt and shorts , wife covered shoulders and knees - Its what was required for all the temples that we visited.

What can be done to free the elephant, Ganga, chained in the temple? It has no space to move, is fed poorly, is whipped, sleeps on her own waste, has no elephant company, was taken away from her mother when she was young and is spotted crying by tourists. Why do Buddhists preach refraining from harming living things, but the commit animal cruelty?

It depends on how long you want to stay to be honest.
We done it in less than 45 mins as once you've been to the main prayer rooms the rest is like a museum. But if you were to look through all the items they have on display etc. Then it could take quite a bit longer.

Please inform me as i will have limited time which places can i cover in this short period of time as i feel i will get to the city by 6:30 Pm only. Galle face beach is also close to Ramada temple is one in the top priority. Any other suggestions pls
I am also interested to go to casino in the evening any suggestions on casino which is good and safe and which offers free pick and drop and fooding

Hi, If you are staying at Ramada Colombo, Galle Face Beach is across the road from the hotel. so not a problem going there walking. from there you can hop into metre Taxi and go to Temple. From there can go to Bayllys Casion. It is a safe and reputed place. No experience to comment about the Free food and pick ups cos i have not been inside.

Hi i am planning to travel to sri lanka on 22nd september i will be reaching hotel ramada colombo by 6 in the evening i am hope the temple will be open till 9 as suggested by u so that we can see the beautiful temple i also wanted to know the entrance fee and other places near the temple we can cover as we have early morning flight next day

As far as I know the temple is open till 10pm
The entrance is free of cost.
There is a lake also nearby
Could you let me know when your next day flight is ?
I would suggest you to visit the temple in the morning time rather than at night, should you have enough time to reach airport.

Hi, The temple is located quite close to Ramada Hotel. should be able to get to the temple in 10 minutes. Make sure to use a meter taxi. should not cost more than $1/=. if you need any assistance in Colombo feel free to contact me.
