Turkmenbashi Mosque is located 11 km from Ashgabat, in the village of Kipchak - the home village of Saparmurat Niyazov (1940 - 2006).
The mosque was built in 2004-2006 on the initiative of Turkmenbashi in white marble, at a cost of $100 million.

This is a big mosque with nice ornate tiles and inscriptions of allah everywhere. It's a nice place to drop by and take pictures

Рекомендую эту красотищу к посещению! Очень хороша с высоты птичьего полета, когда подлетаешь к Ашгабаду. Самая большая мечеть в Центральной Азии. Огромнейший купол. Современный Ашхабад - это вообще город сплошных дворцов, фонтанов, величественных строений. Посмотрите сами, это просто невероятно красиво. Много мрамора, каскад ступенек с водой. Внутри пустынно, но есть гид, который с удовольствием расскажет о месте.

Mesquita bem moderna e muito bonita. Como tudo em Ashgabat, é de um mármore extremamente branco. Tem que visitar.

The Turkmenbashi Mosque-Mausoleum is impressive. It is the largest in Central Asia and the main mosque in Turkmenistan. It holds the remains of the 1st President but photos are not allowed of his tomb. Photos are allowed in the mosque.
When we came on a Thursday, there was barely anyone around. Like everything else in Turkmenistan, it was on a very grand scale.

Cette mosquée est magnifique, tant à l’intérieur qu’à extérieur. Elle est parfaitement entretenue. On notera les jardins, le magnifique tapis, les 4 minarets et les portes. Les plafonds et les lustres sont aussi superbes.
