Red Canyon in Eilat is a stunning, must-see destination. The easy hike through its narrow, red sandstone walls is both beautiful and peaceful. We drove through here on our way to Bryce and stopped at car parks in Dixie forest. The views are amazing. We did the photo trail which was quite steep and slippery but really got you up close and personal with the hoodoos. We drove on and walked another trail to the visitor centre. Thoroughly recommend this it’s easily accessible and the red rock formations and hoodoos are amazing and you can get up close.

The Red Mall, a mall like no other in Israel. Beautifully challenging, and very accessible.

This is a small canyon and it has multiple ways to see it. Do both the top and the bottom to see different views. It is absolutely gorgeous at sunset time with red rocks reflecting the sun. Bring camera!

Splendide ! A couper le souffle ! A ne pas rater lors d’un séjour à Eilat

Really great place. The views are unbelievable, the path is not that difficult. You can choose between two tracks - green or black (or go both as we do ;)). The bus is about 9 AM, then about 15 min walk and you are there. Check carefully the returning bus (we missed the bus because there was different information in the internet and on the timetable at the station).

One of the prettiest things I've seen so far. My family and I booked a jeep tour and had a tour guide with us. Walking through the canyon is so fun and a great opportunity to take pictures. We also climbed the canyon and the view was so pretty. Definitely a must see!

Beautiful place. Take bus 392 from Central Bus Station. It is the cheapest way to get there. First bus leaves at 9am. Only tourists and Young soldiers use it:) It takes around 25 minute to get to the Red Canon bus stop. Than 15 min walk to the entrance to Red Canon. I recomend to use green trail and walk further than the sign that leads you back - you will leave most of people behind.

Tak, dołem kanionu. Powrót tą samą drogą To lekka trasa. Można zapuścić się całkiem daleko i wrócić. Można tez zrobić 1,5-godzinną pętle, ale po skręcie w prawo, który jest po ok godzinie, trzeba się wspiąć ok 100 M ostro w górę na zbocze. Warto tu mieć buty z trekingową podeszwą.

Besides less hot in the morning hours so less risk to get dehydrated if you don't drink enough

We took a taxi from town. We paid 60 Euro for both ways which was defintely too much, but for us it was okay.

Hi, my question is, is it possible to hike the canyon with a child carrier (with child in it of course) on your back? We are moderately fit so I am not worried about that. It is more a question as to if there is enough room with a carrier?

Hi , I am interesting in going to Red Canyon too. We ( 4 ppl) will arrive Eilat on Nov 30 by cruise ship. I could not find any car rental agency by the cruise ship terminal and wonder what is the best way to go.

if you didnt find any rent car agency maybe you should take a taxi cab from eilat port to the the grand canyon. but you have to tell the driver what time to be back because in that road there are no taxis available.
