This is a great place to find beautiful gifts for yourself and others. I bought candle sticks, plates and jewelry. The work the kids do is beautiful. I am proud to support Susan’s House.

A great place to visit to understand some of the issues tourists aren't typically exposed to. The gift shop provided unique souvenirs and beautiful jewelry.

Coming here was a beautiful experience, watching all the teens creating stunning pieces was amazing. Also you can purchase beautiful handmade bowls jewelry home decoration etc. Get to meet young talented teens and feel the beautiful energy. I left with a smile and a handmade piece.

If we participate in a workshop and make glass or pottery how long does it take to get the projects back? We only have 5 days in Jerusalem on our trip this December 2017.
Do you provide transportation to the workshop from our hotel?

Hi Judi,
Thank you for your interest in visiting Susan's House. Because most of our visitors are tourists, we give you ready to paint ceramics (chamsa or mezuza) and we do not fire it afterwards, so you can take it home right away. The glass mosaics would need to be fired and picked up a week later.
We do not provide transportation.
Susan's House employs at-risk teens and teaches them life-skills through work experience. Our teens are creating the glass, ceramics, and jewelry. Most visitors come to see our workshop, meet our teens, and hear their stories. We also do workshops for groups to create their own pieces. Painting ready-made ceramics/ stringing jewelry (necklace/bracelet/keychain), making wooden models and painting them, and glass mosaics (that needs to be fired and picked up a week later).
We will also be moving out of Talpiot to Givat Shaul (close to the entrance of the city).
