On our 2nd day in Israel & Tel Aviv we did the bike tour. It was a great introduction to the city. We got to cross much of the city and see many of the sites quickly while still being able to enjoy being part of the city. We were staying near the Carmel Market, so riding up the beautiful bike path of Rothschild Street, discussing some of the architecture along the street, through Rabin Square, to the Yarkon River, the Tel Aviv Port and back towards Jaffa was an easy ride for the kids, educational and enjoyable. It gave us good ideas for how to adjust our plans for subsequent days too.
We took the same approach to Jerusalem a several days later doing the bike tour with the same great guide. Jerusalem was harder because of the hills. The hills ended up being more of a challenge for us adults and the kids really took to the challenge. Our guide was great in making adjustments to ensure we all stayed together. Jerusalem definitely seems like less of a bike-friendly place, riding down narrow switchback sidewalk paths, but we still found nice places to go: the old city, german quarter, Machaneh Yehudah Market, & train station market. I would have liked to hit up the Knesset, but the adult's struggle with the hills made that a challenge which is why our guide adjusted the schedule.
We really enjoyed the bike tour as part of the family trip. It was a fantastic way to break up some of the "come walk through these old buildings" trip with something more active and athletic. Our guide adjusted to how we were feeling and responding, and a month later we're back home and still talking about how much we enjoyed our visit.

I needed a decent bike for the weekend to head out to the desert, but didn’t want to be part of an organised group. BIKEJERUSALEM had proper full sus MTB ( Marin for me) to hire , close to plenty of riding. Very helpful, sorted me out with all the bits of kit I needed. Perfect for getting out whilst here with work.

Rented a road bike for 4 days from this crew. Their storage facility is in the beautiful Ella Valley. It was not prohibitively expensive to get picked up from Jerusalem and the ride back was beautiful. Bike was in great condition and I was able to do some fantastic rides. I never knew Israel could be so green, quiet and bucolic. Amir Kindly picked up the bike from me in Jerusalem on my final day. All in all a top notch experience and not expensive. Recommended highly and withotu reservation. Top tip - take your own Garmin/Wahoo and get the routes on it before you arrive.

I rented a bike with Bike Jerusalem and had a special request, which they handled with great ease. They were able to reconfigure my rental to accommodate handlebars that I brought from home, due to a back injury which necessitates very high handlebars. The whole experience was easy and smooth. The bike was great and the staff was so lovely to work with.

I just rented and used a light and comfortable Polygon carbon fiber road bike from Bike Jerusalem for a very challenging 5 day ride in the mountains of the Galilee - 5,000 ft. elevation increases and 45 miles each day. I brought my own saddle and peddles and had a fabulous ride!! I will borrow again rather than shipping my own bike from the States.

Great bikes and bags, very accommodating staff, worked well with me in planning a route and recommending places to stay, and were flexible with us on the front-end bike pick-up and post-ride delivery in Tel Aviv. Additionally, when we had a couple flat tires on Day 4 and needed replacement tubes and CO2 cartridges, they jumped right in and helped us find a place to get them. There are only two things keeping this review from being a 5 out of 5. First, planning a 6-day self-guided trip in a country that I have never been required a lot of logistics between arrival, departure, daily mileage and accommodations. While the advice was always great, the communication was not always timely. Sometimes an entire week would go by between email responses from BJ. This was still months before the actual trip, but still a little frustrating. I probably should have used text rather than email for a bit more responsive dialog. The second issue was informational. We planned a pretty aggressive trip with a lot of climbing and several long days in the saddle in northern Israel. We were told at the outset that we would have no trouble finding food and water along the route. However, in some of the more remote areas, that was not the case. On one of our days, we went a full 50 miles without passing a refuel spot. Fortunately, the weather was cool and after not being able to find water en route the day before, we filled 100ml Camelback bladders that day just in case. A company that provides route planning should offer more than just gpx files. What would have been very helpful and would have truly justified the cost of BJ's route planning was some reference to water/food stops along the route. Long story short, I would definitely use Bike Jerusalem again and hopefully they can improve on the few nits I mentioned above.

Asaf rented us some finely tuned bikes and gave us tons of information on what roads he recommended to cycle and where we should stay. Fantastic resource for our trip and a pleasant experience. He speaks perfect English.
FYI the warehouse is a little bit out there in Tsafririm, about an hour from Jerusalem. Beautiful area, looked like a nice place to ride.

Needed a road bike for 2 days (from J'lem to Dead Sea and back, and to the Judean hills). Great and easy service from Asaf from "Bike Jerusalem", good bike, nice trip. All fine.
