Ich kaufe hier schon zum zweiten Mal, weil Freunde und Familie die Mitbringsel von der letzten Reise so toll fanden, dass nachgeordert wurde. Gute Qualität, super Preise und wirklich herzliche und nette Besitzer. Ich werde immer wiederkommen!

The quality of the products here are amazing. The pomegranate vases are the specialty there at the moment. Great customer service as well.

Very fine ceramics, very good service. The prices were good and the were very helpful with careful packaging . We bought nice bowls and Pomegrants!

I came here with 15 fellow pilgrims today and there was just enough room to shop around. A lady sat in the store working on a ceramic. She does the black lines and stenciling (some times it’s all free hand, without patterns), another person adds the coloring before they’re fired, and so on-they can tell you all about the process.
They have ceramic: tiles, coffee mugs, pomegranates (an Armenian symbol for good luck if I heard correctly), plates, pitchers, dishes, bells, and more. This business is very close to the New Gate. Enter the new gate and it’s just down the way on the left when you arrive at the T junction.
Outside of the olive wood Christian Co-ops in Bethlehem, buying souvenirs here is a neat way to support Christians (making a living from selling true art) in the Holy Land.

Wondering around the Armenian quarter looking for some pottery, Mr Sandrouni waved at me from his store. I told him that as a student i was on a budget and he gave me a kind discount. His artwork is beautiful, at a good price for the quality on offer that is made by himself and not mass produced like most pottery in the city. He was also keen to share his families story of how they escaped the Armenian genocide which was really interesting. All in all it felt like a personal experience

En pocos metros hay dos pequeñas tiendas de la preciosa cerámica de Armenia, trabajada finamente de forma artesanal. Es un lugar donde se pueden encontrar piezas para llevar de recuerdo.

We spent a good hour with Mr. Sandrouni in his shop, selecting pieces, getting insights into the significance of the patterns and seeing how the ceramics are made. It was very interesting and we ended up with some extraordinary gifts for the folks back home.

We were here Dec 23,2017. We had wandered in while walking through the old city . this was a great experience, the owner took us in the back to show us how they make the products. He made us feel so welcome & naturally we bought a few items that would fit into our luggage for the trip home. He also recited & explained to our friend a Armenian saying that our friends grandmother would say to her when she was a child, it was a teary moment for us all.

The ceramics at the Sandrouni shop are lovely, and I had a delightful time there, chatting with the owner, George Sandrouni, and the staff. They were helpful and informative without being pushy or overbearing. I am very happy with my purchases and definitely will return!

I bought a lovely serving /casserole dish in July 2019 thinking that I could put it in the oven. However I noticed some small cracks in the finish after the first time I put it in the over. Under what conditions can I use my serving dish--microwave, freezer, dishwasher, oven?
