We got to know Hilik as a very reliable Person. It was a pleasure to spend time with him. He is a guide with a lot of background information and easy to get connected with him. Thank you!

My family went to Israel in July 2022 for my sons Bar Mitzvah celebration. It was truly the trip of a lifetime. Hilik was a wonderful guide- warm, funny, extremely knowledgeable and fantastic with our kids aged 13&9 at the time. He truly was the highlight of our trip as we came away from Israel with a life long friend.
He kept our kids engaged and made us feel like family as he took us to all the wonderful sights in Israel. Each day he would ask our children to pick their favorite part of the day- which is something they will always remember. He has wonderful tools to make the history accessible to the kids (and us)! His re-enactments on Mt Masada were a delightful and hilarious touch!
When we go back to Israel we will work with Hilik again. I have also recommended him to my partners and friends.

In August 2023 we and our 15 year old granddaughter were guided around Israel for 6 days by Hilik Wald. We expected our trip to be informative, interesting and in some ways exotic but Hilik made the trip extraordinary. In our >75 years we have been on many trips to many interesting places but we have never been guided and formally and informally educated like we were almost every minute of the trip with Hilik.
Hilik is exceptionally well educated and articulate in sharing the history of Israel, political conundrums, art appreciation, and religious sensibilities. After 12 years of Catholic school education we thought we knew a lot at least about the New Testament and a little about the Old Testament but Hilik knew so much more- which he always enthusiastically shared with us. He delighted in quizzing us and challenging us to remember what we once knew which we considered fun. At our request, Hilik directed most of his education to our granddaughter, gently quizzing her and asking her opinion as the days passed. Consequently she was very engaged, felt included, important and, before our eyes, became more of an adult each day.

Our family had an amazing time exploring Israel with Hilik as our private tour guide! From day one, Hilik's punctuality and trustworthiness put us at ease. He effortlessly tailored our itinerary to keep both our 10 and 12-year-old kids engaged and excited about every destination. Hilik is a tremendous tour guide with deep understanding and thoughtfulness in his approach to guiding. We were two couples with different experiences in Israel (from none to having lived there) and he was able to make it very interesting and dynamic for all of us. He has a lot of patience and works with you in coming up with the best itinerary. At some points we were staying at 2 different hotels in different cities, and he made it work for us. As a Israeli-born guide he is also deeply knowledgeable about the fabric of Israeli society and its history. We were with Hilik for 8 days off guiding so we can certainly vouch that he is the best guide to have in Israel.

Hilik was recommended to us from a good friend of ours who gave Hilik a glowing review. Hilik was brilliant - super friendly, helpful, extremely knowledgeable with all things Israel, considerate and all around good person. Hilik put together a full itinerary for us based on our interests (which we communicated to him beforehand). He was flexible with us when we needed to change things around based on child obligations. We have very high standards and Hilik exceeded every standard that we had crafted in our head. Time and money well invested. I will definitely be using Hilik again on my next trip to Israel.

Was a perfect mix of expert insight while also keeping things light and fun for our three tween/teen children. Would use Hilik again as our tour guide in a heartbeat!

It was a trip of a lifetime! We couldn't ask for a better experience with Hilik as our guide! It was so wonderful to travel with someone who was born in Israel and is an expert on the history and culture experienced by all religions. Hilik spent time getting to know us and suggested changes to our itinerary that fit with our interests.He always was in contact with us and made sure we arrived on time for other scheduled events. He always arrived on time to pick us up and was a great driver! He made some great suggestions for our free day so that our unscheduled day would be fulfilling. He shared his life experiences with us and by the time the trip was over, Hilik felt like family! It was sad to say goodbye! If you want to have a phenomenal guide experience, Hilik should be your choice!

Our family group of 7 including 18 and 16 year old graddaughters spent 6 days touring Israel with Hilik. We can not say enough good things about him. Passionate, knowledgable and most of all tuned in to our dynamic and diverse ages. We were three generations and he made every day exciting, interesting and fun. Lots of laughter and very well planned by Hilik with input by all. He really listens.

My children and I spent 2 days with Hilik Lavi. We all liked his stories about ancient history told with humor and knowledge.
