I did two dives with Reef in April 2018, along with my two teenage sons. Our guide was named Ezra. The experience was unpleasant from the beginning. Ezra said he did not remember speaking with me on the phone, and they tried to charge more than was agreed. Next, Ezra gave each of us wet suits that were way too small. My eldest son and I are both about 185cm tall (over six feet), and he gave me a size medium, and my son a size small. My younger son was given an extra small, even though he is only a bit shorter than we are. We told him that these would be too small, but Ezra insisted, thus wasting considerable time. Finally, suitable wet suits were provided. It was a beach dive, and I asked, based on past experience, what would happen if the weights I was given were insufficient. Ezra assured me that it would be fine, because he carries extra weights that he could give to me on the dive, if necessary. In the event, I had insufficient weight, but instead of providing more, Ezra just held on to me through the entire dive. Later, when I asked why he didn’t give me extra weight, he said “I am lazy, so I just used you as a buoy.” He also told my sons to buddy up, rather than putting each of them with an adult, which would have been safer. Teenagers don’t always use the best judgement, after all.
Between dives Ezra immediately helped himself to the snacks we brought with us, without asking. He also explained that he thinks PADI is a bad organisation, he tried to convince my boys that eating kosher is silly, etc., etc. He was generally obnoxious, and seemed to be interested in proving how superior he is to everyone else, rather than engaging in any sort of mutually informative conversation.
On the second dive, Ezra decided to just take us around an artificial breakwater, where the sea floor was covered with rubbish. He again put my boys together as buddies. He led the group, and rarely turned around to check on his buddy (me), or the boys. Visibility was poor, and he repeatedly let my boys get out of sight. When I questioned this later, he explained that, because it was a shallow dive, “Nothing could possibly happen.” Any responsible diver should know better than that.
If you value enjoyment, good training, and safety, do not dive with the Reef Diving Group in Tel Aviv, at least until they get better staff on board.

Bit difficult to find but once I did they were attentive and I did a refresher dive. Trainer was good and equipment was OK.

Отличный дайвинг клуб, совершил с ним 2 погружение, одно на затонувший объект на 30 метров, второй на мелководье, на 11 метров, вокруг камней. После второго погружения мой сухой костюм окончательно протёк. Даниил починил костюм, напомнил как пользоваться, размазал как за ним ухаживать. Всем советую, кто любит дайвинг.

So i did my Divemaster certificate at octopus diving center Shahar was my guide, he is highly skilled diver and instructor. Thank you for an amazing experience!

Avoid. If you really want to dive, go some place else. The problem is: there seems to be no one else to dive with in TA. The first time I dived with them I did a CMAS first level (=open water) for which I never received a card at home. Years later, in 2015, in hope they changed, I go again, pay for a SSI certification course, and 5 months later they still haven't issued the SSI card, let alone sent it to me in Europe, or put me in the online SSI system. Anyways visibility is bad in TA. Also, unless in the case of an exception (if you can be lucky and find an instructor), they do NOT do PADI, and they do NOT speak English! Untrustworthy organization.
