We crossed this bridge as we drove from Abu Dhabi to Dubai. Wished there were some area where one can take a picture of this besutiful bridge. There are several lanes for land transports, views of the water and buildings near it are beautiful background for photos.

On our ride from Al Ain to Abu Dhabi, my wife and I passed by the iconic Sheikh Zayed Bridge. The following day, we drove over the bridge on our way to the Louvre Abu Dhabi. The bridge, which was completed in 2010 has curves that rise and fall much like the sand dunes found in parts of the Arabian Peninsula. The bridge design came from the mind of the brilliant late architect, Zaha Mohammad Hadid. Her design includes a series of “rolling” curves that make this bridge as much a work of art as a roadway!

Beautiful bridge designed by an Iraqi American achitect which is a very unique and beautiful bridge. If your in Abu Dhabi for even a couple of days you will likely drive over it going from place to place.

I saw this bridge for the first time 5 years ago and really loved it. So, when I came back recently to Abu Dhabi, with my wife, we had to drive over it. It carries a lot more traffic than it used to but is worth the drive to see such a unique bridge.

Every time i drive over this bridge i make sure that i drive at the speed limit. However , i always get a ticket. I will drive over another bridge or even through the sea to avoid it now.

Pont très joli et original! On peut faire des photos de ce pont car un autre est juste à côté. On arrive rapidement en ville en l'empruntant!

Bridge that takes you into the city of Abu Dhabi. Best viewing time would be at night when it changes color into blue and pink. Looks stunning against the water.

Is it possible to cycle or walk on it in order to find a way from Mainland to Abu Dhabi??

I have seen 2 people in my time driving over the bridge (weekly). I therefore assume it is not illegal. As for cyclist, best conduct some internet research. Like another reviewer has stated, speed limit is 140 Km/h so be careful even though there is a path. UAE car drivers like to park where they want!
