museu interessante com um belo acervo de peças de barro e também de peças da cultura indígena. Conta também com algumas exposições de arte contemporânea. Informações em espanhol apenas e o local parece meio abandonado.

Small museum with beautiful figures and masks created by paraguayan artists. We found there also interesting artisanal pottery. Small place but with its own character and charm.

Nunca pensé que un museo de esta naturaleza fuera tan rico en experiencias visuales; y que con ellas te trasporte a otras culturas y formas de vida. Visitalo, no te vas a aburrir

muy bueno , completo , vale la pena , es un must de asuncion , gratis , esta lejos del centro en la zona residencial , y puedes comprar piezas de todos los precios , hermosas , de calidad , yo me arrepenti , pero la proxima lo hare

Pottery pottery pottery. Paraguyan style. Nice visit but not dramatic... better go to a art galery to see some paintings of local artists

o museu do barro ou da argila é formada por um acervo de peças de argilas feitas por povos indígenas de paraguaí. para quem gosta de mergulhar na história do povos antigos é um bom passeio. belas esculturas que expressão toda a cultura dos povos que colonizaram o Paraguai.

Al principio parecía un museo pequeño y lleno de obras abstractas y sin sentido, pero al seguir recorriendolo nos encontramos con una grata sorpresa, ya que tiene diferentes áreas y diferentes estilos... Y es muy grande!!!

Spent a few hours here during recent trip to Asunción. This museum is not to be missed. Comprehensive collection beautifully displayed. The only disappointment was the museum shop. I expected a much nicer shop with a more helpful staff in a museum of the quality.

Museo del Barro is situated not too far from our hotel in Santisma Trinidad, and is located conveniently off Aviadores de Chaco. Entrance is free, and we were totally surprised by the collection of local artists (including urban and indigenous artwork). We were particularly impressed by some of the works of Luis Delgado.
Most of the collections are situated on the ground floor, but some interesting artwork and indigenous lore and artifacts can be found on the second floor as well. The museum is well-maintained by a small staff. Near the entrance, there is a pair of shops which sell artisan crafts made by local artists.
Two hours is more than sufficient to enjoy the various collections of arte del barro. A stop at the museum is highly recommended.
