Very simple square in the central area of the city, with nothing beautiful or special about it. It's just a wooded place where you can rest in the middle of this city that always seems to be very hot!

This was definitely my favorite Plaza in Asunción. The place has a ton of character, as well as some cool statues. This is also where one of the most famous restaurant in Asunción, Lido!

Aun se puede ver gente jugando Pokemon Go con su celulares. Estudiantes que hacen fotocopias e impresiones en locales circundantes. Trabajadores de la zona que van a almorzar y luego regresan a sus tareas, algun turista y mucho más.

Hübscher Platz mit vielen alten Bäumen. Eher wenig gepflegt, doch einer der schöneren Plätze in Asuncion. Wir sind immer gerne hier gewesen.

Este edificio ni siquiera está cerca de la Plaza Uruguaya, no recomiendo ir de noche, y de dia estar atento.

Das einzig interessante an diesem Platz sind die Buchläden, in welchem man Bücher auf Guarani kaufen kann. Ansonsten ist der Platz mit ein paar komischen Gestalten gefüllt und abends wird es gefährlich.

I suspect this plaza gets extra pedestrian traffic as it is located in front of the Cabildo, the old legislative building during the dictatorship. The plaza is anchored by a statue of a national hero named Jose Gervasio Artigas.

La última vez que visité Asunción la plaza uruguaya estaba muy deteriorada y en la noche era "tierra de nadie".
Ahora la encontré remozada, limpia y cuidada.
En la noche, tiene una iluminación "a giorno" que ofrece mucha seguridad y es de muy buena estética.
Un hermoso paseo sombreado para un día o noche de calor.
Además de la magnífica estatua de Artigas, el prócer de Uruguay, tiene otras obras muy disfrutables.
Hay que visitarla!!

Gaby buenos días, dentro de esta plaza nada, pero a los alrededores mucho, a 2 cuadras frente a la plaza tienes una feria de artesanos, venden carteras, billeteras, monederos, lentes, gorros, entre otros todo de cuero, a unas 3 cuadras al costado tienes otra feria muy similar, pero aquí además encuentras poleras con estampados típicos, además de recuerdos, manteles, paños etc. todo artesanal. El sector es muy tranquilo así que puedes caminar con completa confianza.

olá... estou indo P BAs, com conexão no Paraguai, vou passar a noite no hostel no centro da cidade com o intuito de dar uma volta a pé p cpnhecer o lugar de manhazinha antes de voltar p aeroporto. Gostaria de saber se é seguro andar a pé por volta das 7am
