I read the reviews where there were few great grades, but I decided to visit. It was a sunny day in November. I brought clean carrots and bananas. Glad to feed everyone I could. The zoo staff did not interfere with the feeding, for which a special thanks! At 11:00 a.m., there were hardly any people. The animals probably had breakfast already - carrots were eaten with pleasure, but without fuss. Spacious and clean pens.
The zoo liked it, but there was a little nasty sediment left. Separate house with fish and reptiles. The clerk's at the entrance - "Closed." "What time does it open?" "11 o'clock." Turned her back and left. Looking at the clock - just 11:00. I waited a few more minutes. There's no one. She didn't come in on the way back.
Entrance fee is GEL 4. It's not clear what the zoo exists for? This is a very low cost. If it's a government grant, it's understandable. There are many animals, and there must be many workers...

‼️DON'T COME IN THERE AND DON'T PAY TO SEE ANIMAL ABUSE‼️
This zoo is extremely harmfull and abuses animals. Some of the Animals are malnourished. Their cages are small as hell and dirty. The Animals in this zoo are suffering and im realy suprised that this zoo is still open. Its terryfing and sad to see the horryfic state of those poor creatures.
Taking about attractions - everything looks like it got made in the 80s and its dangerous for humans. I was scared for my life on the ferris wheel.
To sum up - dont go there and dont pay for the animal abuse. It isn't even worth the 4 GEL it costs and its extremely harmful. I hope some anti animal abuse services will close this slaughterhouse.

The zoo was fun. Even though there wasn’t many animals due to previous events. I really enjoyed seeing the leopard and the rhino. The only other thing I would do differently is to have a restaurant there

Horrible and depressing place to visit. The place smells. Animals don't look very well cared for and are kept in small areas.
I understand this place will close soon. Hope the new Zoo will be better.

The zoo was.. 🙂
Everything looks broken and sad, gives me Chernobyl and ussr vibes. A lot of the animals aren’t even in the zoo since the flood in 2015.
The animals that did stay look sad 😞.
I finished looking at the whole zoo after an hour.
It is an experience but don’t expect anything happy, it’s not your regular zoo.
I know that a newer zoo is being built in Tbilisi and actually a lot of the animals form this zoo are being moved there, let’s hope for it to be a better one :).

Очень симпатичный зоопарк. Немного грязновато, но в целом для Тбилиси это норма. Животные выглядят ухоженно, не тощие)) Мы с мужем получили удовольствие не меньше, чем дети 5 и 1,5 лет)) Бегемот и слоны впечатлили больше всех, а пингвинов зимой не было.
Стоимость: 4 лар/взр., 2 лар/дет. (До 3х лет бесплатно). Аттракционы в начале и в конце зоопарка по цене входного билета))

I personally found this zoo very fascinating and a proper traditional zoo with some beautiful and interesting animals (living by the way in good conditions and with thoughtful caring park keepers). If visitors cannot enjoy this zoo for being just a nice place to spend an afternoon instead of some modern souless 'theme park' - then go to Dubai or Walt Disney. I look forward to returning to this zoo - a quiet place of contemplation, local Georgian families simply enjoying the sunshine and with animals in a relaxing and interesting habitat.

Very bad zoo, kids unable to see the animals . Very few animals , walk ways is unmaintained , hard to push the baby trolly . Area not clean at all , not to recommend to vitit it at all

Very bad condition somebody should take animals and close it. Take care of animals!!!! City should invet find better location and take care of animals if economical they cant support they should close it. Adminisytration should look for some donations and sponsors. Looks like this place is dying. Very sad view. If somebody can support i think it will help somehow, but somebody have to manage this zoo.
