If you drive by, you should stop, but drive on purpose - definitely not.
Beautiful landscape, it's a pity that the market on the observation deck holds tightly against the railing, taking up part of the observation deck.

JInvali (Zhinvali) , a manmade lake created in 1985, is an excellent stop for less than hour. The reservoir and dam are photogenic on a warm , sunny day in summer. Get out of the car and stretch your legs. Don't forget your camera.

Zhinvali water reservoir is an artificial lake located on the Aragvi river. It's used to supply water to Tbilisi city. The reservoir is surrounded by mountains, making it a very picturesque place. The reservoir is visible from the famous Anauri fortress. It can be visited while travelling from Tbilisi to Kazbegi. Nice place to take relax and enjoy the view.

Zhinxali water reservoir falls on the way towards Gudauri and Kazbegi. We reached the place in the afternoon and the views from here were amazing. There are a plenty of shops and eateries here to have some food as well as some winter wear that you can buy for your tour to Gudauri.
The place also has some photo spots especially the ones with swings and other props. The colour of the water turns blue when the sky is clear and offers a spectacular view of the landscape. Our tour guide also explained us the brief history about the place and how the landscape has changed over the years.

We were there in December, the place is beautiful and magical ❤️ the nature is extremely beautiful and the landscape is unforgettable ❤️ there are wonderful views for a photo shoot, perfect for two, family excursions, excursions with friends ❤️ an unusual and inspiring place ❤️

היי..אין אטרקציות שם זה פשוט נהר עוצר נשימה משהו מדהים לתמונות ויש שם הרבה דוכנים אפשר לקנות הרבה דברים וגם אפשר תמורת 2 לארי להצטלם בבגדים המסורתיים שלהם!! שווה כול רגע מבטיחה.

Добрый день. Мы ездили с мужем с хозяином наших аппартаментов. По всей Военно-Грузинской дороге. Стоило это 250 лари на целый день (где-то 80 евро). Гид там не нужен. Проехали все достопримечательности, включая монастыри. Советую вам купить экскурсию с самом Тбилиси. Там намного дешевле, чем в Интернете. И больше вариантов. Спросите также на месте своего проживания, устраивают ли они такие поездки. Как правило, да.

Yes is a highly recommended place to visit in Georgia. If you don't have a car, most tours going to Jinvali reservoir and Ananuri fortress.

Hello how can i reach gergeti trinity church? Is there a tourisr bus or public transportation towards ananuri fortress and gergeti trinity church?

hi,
we used a driver to get there. Once on site, there are cars that take you all the way up to the church. the road is bumpy and therefore cars with drivers are at the big parking ready to take you all the way up. you can negotiate the price with them.
enjoy the ride and the serenity.
