Admission is free to this museum that is located in the Olympic Park. It does a good job of providing highlights of the 1988 Seoul Summer Olympic Games. There are displays on the history of the Olympic Games and the individual sports featured in the 1988 Games. There were also some items from the recent 2018 Winter Olympic Games in PyeongChang. The displays were in both Korean and English.
There is a cafe and a gift shop in the museum. Do pick up a free pamphlet near the entrance that provides information and a layout of the museum.

Not far from the world Peace gate at the Olympic park is the Seoul Olympic Museum. This was built in 1990 to commemorate the 1988 Olympic games held in Seoul which was widely regarded as a successful Olympic games.
Admission is free. The opening hours are from 10am to 6pm – the last admission being at 5.30pm. It is closed on Mondays.
The museum has a permanent exhibit hall (Peace Hall) on the first floor. On the second floor is the Harmony Hall and the Prosperity Hall which is another permanent exhibit hall. There is also an Honour Hall. In the basement level is the Games library.
There is also a cafeteria and a gift shop selling all kinds of Olympic memorabilia.
The exhibits are very well laid out and informative. There are also some items from other Olympic Games.
The Olympic Museum is definitely worth a visit. It shows the Olympic spirit throughout and you get a sense of how the athletes create history and leave a legacy for generations to follow.

Музей меня не очень впечатлили. Но так как он бесплатен, то гуляя по Олимпийскому парку, вполне можно туда заглянуть.

I don't think the museum is a "must see" but it's free and worth a visit if you're in the area and have nothing better to do. It's not very big (if I remember correctly it was only 2 or 3 floors). Was able to go through it in about an hours time (maybe a little more or less). But if you don't have any interest in sports or the Olympics I don't know why you'd visit.
Afterwards you can stroll through the Olympic Park to check out the burning torch, country flags, etc. It was really beautiful in the fall with all the leaves changing colors.

This is an excellent museum which is full of fascinating displays on the history of the Olympic Games in ancient and modern times, as well everything to do with the Seoul 1988 Olympics. Videos, text, sporting equipment, Olympic torches, merchandise and other objects are on show in the very interesting exhibits. If you enjoy the Olympics you will certainly enjoy this museum. The only negative was that all photography (even without flash) was banned without explanation.
