On our Nile cruise we also booked and visited the Temple of Isis...............
Small boats take you to a small island on the old Aswan reservoir where the temple is very picturesque and you can have a very cozy and romantic stop after visiting the temple in an Egyptian cafe on the lake................
a visit is definitely worth it................

The Temple of Isis is better known as the Temple of Philae. The temple was moved from its original location because it was flooded with the construction of the Aswan Dam. You can arrive by boat or felucca and you have to pay an entrance fee, but it's well worth seeing it.

This is the small temple in Aswan and not the better known 'Philae Temple'
Only opened a few years, it is in the middle of Aswan not far from the Old Cataract
The guardians were quite friendly & kind
Decorations are not to the highest level, but if you have an interest, ity's worth a visit

This is not the Temple to Isis commonly known as Philae Temple on an island, but a small temple in the city of Aswan itself.
Staying in the Old Cataract, it was just an 800 yd walk to get to it.
Small and essentially in a hole such that the roof is at ground level, it isn't the most obvious site around.
Relatively empty, the main details are on the doorways, with a couple of stone plynths inside.
Although only an 800 yd walk, the temperatures were in the Mid 40's (Centigrade) So it was a 10LE Tuk-Tuk ride back
