I sailed to Kirchner's Island via Felucca.
It was a nice experience tacking back
and forth with the wind along with the
other Feluccas.
The Botanical garden could use with better signage. It is a good stroll however unless you are a plant enthusiast,it is not really for solo travellers.

Isola che prende il nome dal console generale britannico che vi impiantò l’orto botanico. Il nome locale sarebbe Nabalat. Ci siamo andati in feluca per goderci un po’ di brezza del fiume e il verde della sua vegetazione. Piacevole.

Had a relaxing sail in a felucca as an optional add on the small group UK tour and the boat moored up here for a brief visit..I would have liked just a bit longer as it is a peaceful place,planted with trees and plants,on an Island in the Nile.

Petit jardin qui ne laisse pas insensible par la variété des espèces proposées et sa situation. Trés belle vue sur le désert, le tombeau de l'Aga Khan et sa villa que l'on entraperçois

Beautiful botanic gardens, picturesquely situated on Kitchener’s Is,and in the middle of the Nile. Visually pleasing and a good place to relax.
(Some of the gardeners though are a bit insistent in wanting to show you round but will leave you alone when you make clear you want to see the gardens unaccompanied).

Kitchner's island is a botanical paradise with numerous trees brought and planted from across the globe. There is very little signage or description of the flora which leads to guesswork and estimation of their names/purpose. The atmosphere during our visit was spoiled by crowds of young rowdy locals. There's a decent cafeteria near the boat quay serving basics. Nothing special about the island per se.
