During Egypt group tour of a week one of our lunch was arranged in a boat anchored at Nile. We were offered typical local n continental food that is falafel rice pasta salads breads bakery items and of course non veg. It is a nice dining hall for sitting more then 100guests in a corner is performing area where belly dance etc are performed but ours being lunch no performance. Just at entry area is the buffet counter with rich spreads of delecacies . What I like most of personal serving of piping hot felafal. That was quite good. We spent about 90 minutes eating and enjoying cool breeze of the Great Nile.

Dendera temple is new compared to some of the attractions to visit in Egypt it was built around the time of Cleopatra and is one of the only temples in Egypt to depect cleopatra on the rear of the temple it is also the only temple in Egypt to have the contsitillation wheel in you can also climb up onto the roof 365 steps up for the year and 366 steps down for a leap year there is also a nileometer just outside the temple and the water at the bottom if crystal clear I try to visit this temple on every visit to Luxor as it's only 1 hour away by taxi and well worth it

This site was considered to be the having place of the ancients and host freshwater spas and birth rooms for the Ancients. It's also apparently to in alinement with the stars to make it a vet powerful and spiritual healing place, hus was enhanced by the Poltomy family of Cleopatra who's image you will find on the back outside wall of the main Hall of Hathor, and in he lower vault basalt wall.

Bonito passeio ao espetacular templo de Dendara. As colunas esculpidas dentro do templo sao deslumbrantes e as pinturas no teto aindam resaltam todo o apogeu desta época. O passeio em barco é bastante agradável, apesar da comida servida nao ser das melhores.

If you liked the film "Death on the Nile" this is the trip for you. Rattan chairs on deck with a small junp-in pool to cool off. Nicely laid out Having been at sea as a Captain on cruise ships for most of my life I could appreciate this busman's trip on the nile. A full 12 hours round trip. Watch out for the Germans they are as bad as the sunbed scenario so don't be polite and grap the best seats. THE TEA. Served frpm an pld fashioned urn with boiler that you saw in cafes 50 years ago. Not served BOILING which is essential to kill bacteria so bring your own chilled drinks and plenty of them as it gets very hot and extremely hot at Dendara Temple. The lunch was excellent, buffet style and of course get up front before the Germans devour the lot and don't worry about manners. A really excellent trip along the Nile watching the locals swimming and seeing the locals at work on the shore. Make sure you have plenty of chilled water at the temple to throw over your head to cool down as you arrive around mid-day. The guide will tell you that the soot on the ceiling was done by Christians trying to burn it down (well this one did) and I loudly suggested that it was locals doing their cooking there. Apparently the ceiling displays a magnificent horoscope probably the first of its kind. All in all and excellent trip and well worth the money for a whole day out One thing the Caterpillar engine broke down and as luck would have it I helped the supposed engineer repair it.

The visit to Dendara was first stop on our Nile cruise. Seeing this temple it is hard to imagine that all has been covered in sand. The temple is for Hathor the goddess for all good in life, but also had a ferocious side to her - in the image of a lion - when going against enemies.
When uncovered all the beatiful paintings were tainted black, but a method has been found to restore the ancient colours.
Go see this, they expect the restoring of the colours to be finialised in two years, but I hope they will keep just a small section of the tainted black for future generation to see what a huge job has been done.

nous nous sommes inscrits à cette excursion afin de découvrir le Temple de Dendarah agrémenté par un voyage en bateau sur le Nil. Malheureusement les 9 heures de bateau aller et retour pour 1H30 de visite nous ont semblé interminables dommage car la visite du Temple est très intéressante.

Is the full day tour available as I have been told it is not
i would want to arrange a booking in JUNE 2017 can i do so
