Tayeb was the best guide we’ve had on any guided tour, anywhere in the world! He is so knowledgeable and well respected in the region, we felt like we were being guided by a local expert and a celebrity because of how widely recognised and connected he is. We had just a day to explore Luxor, but he brought all the sights alive for us and highlighted incredible details and backstories to really help us appreciate the place. We will always remember Luxor fondly thanks to this tour!

It’s kind of relaxing and feel so free without rushing much… all the crew are fantastic friendly helpful funfilled & smiley 😍😍 enjoy every single cooked dishes by the young chef so much 💕💕The room is clean and neat 🥰🥰

Awesome experience living in Dahabiya Abundance for 3 nite sailing down River Nile to Luxor. Feels so warm by the lovely crew onboard… first class service and super delicious food by young chefs… impressive! 👍👍👍😍😍😍

We were a family of 4 with 2 young kids (2 and 5) and booked a 3 day private tour. Our tour guide Khalid met us at the hotel every morning of our scheduled tour.
Khalid is an amazing tour guide, and a very knowledgeable Egyptologist. He really knows his stuff! He is also fluent in English (and a few other languages too, including Italian), so communication is no problem at all.
He is punctual, professional, polite, caring, patient and was absolutely fantastic with my kids who look a great liking to him very quickly. Khalid is also very well known at all the tour sites, and getting tickets and through the que’s was a breeze. He went the extra mile on many occasions, and even watched our kids while we went down into the pyramids (which would have been quite the mission with them).
Over the 3 day tour we visited we visited the following places: Pyramids in Giza, Memphis, Saqqara and Dahshur, Egyptian Museum, Felluca Boat ride on the Nile, Coptic Cairo, Islamic Cairo, the Citadel/Muhammed Ali Mosque, Al Azhar Park and Khan al Khalili Bazaar. Khalid also made some additional stops on on the itenarary that were of special interest to us.
Our tour of Cairo with Khalid was a top class experience, and I am looking forward to seeing more of beautiful Egypt with him again! Don’t think twice, you won’t go wrong with Khalid as your guide. You will definitely be thanking me later!

Traveling from Cairo to Luxor was quite the experiences our tour guides Essam and Maged were amazing from start to finish. 15 day travel tour allowed my friend and I to discover most of what Egypt had to offer. Everything we learned in our history books growing up, we got to see with our own eyes.

It was an amazing experience with a well educated tour guide (Mahmoud Ramadan ) his knowledge was above and beyond , very flexible and very polite . I strongly recommend him individual tours and group tours .

A huge thanks to Khalid for taking care of us from beginning to end. We saw everything on our itinerary and more. He was so thorough with explaining everything, and best of all, had great food recommendations. If you’re looking to visit any part of Egypt, I highly recommend Khalid & his team.

From the time I landed in Luxor I was treated like royalty. My guide was extremely knowledgeable, funny, patient and made sure I was well taken care of.
Luxor is a must see city to visit in Egypt. The energy is so strong there it's like being transported to the days of the Pharaohs. The hotel Jolie Ville is phenomenal and would recommend wholeheartedly.
My only regret is not staying longer because there are just sooooo many experiences that I would have loved to enjoy.
Luxor has the most beautiful people and received nothing but love and great vibes.

I spent five days in Luxor. I was often traveling around as a female on my own and was lucky to find a great young taxi driver, Hamad, phones +20 100 502 8029 or, +20 109 0913 335. He drove me around for five hours a day at 350 Egyptian pounds (about $4 US per hour, although I added a good tip.) He is a very professional driver, (no leering in the rearview mirror while trying to avoid the doddering donkey carts and stray dogs, in fact no leering at all!) He is courteous and punctual, and did not try to take me to papyrus, rug or alabaster stores unless I asked, unlike a lot of drivers.
Plenty to do:
Karnak temple- large complex, huge columns, impressive reliefs. Nice evening light show, although you're mostly across a lake from the temple, and you could only go in the restricted areas for the show.
Luxor temple- beautiful colonnaded temple and some lovely and massive granite statues. Open until 9pm and they light it up so you can wander around the temple area freely at night. Entrance is behind coaches and down some steps. I went as a female alone in the evening, it was busy and safe.
Valley of the Kings, Queens, Nobles and workers are all just under an hour's drive across the river. I didn't have a guide so had to work out which tickets I needed for where. Hamad knew the sites or found out where for the less well known ones. Pace yourself, especially if it's hot.
Visit ACE, the animal charity, if you have time.
There's plenty more to see.
Tip: Take a cotton scarf everywhere.
