Caravans in Hong Kong? Read on .......
This caravan park is nestled within one of the least visited parts of Hong Kong, about 40 minutes from the Hong Kong International Airport, or 30 minutes by taxi from Tung Chung. Located in the Tong Fuk village, this part of Hong Kong is not easily accessible with exception for Lantau buses, Lantau (blue) taxis and ferries from Central. The site itself is also within minutes to one of the most pristine beaches in Hong Kong with hardly a soul seen on weekdays and in the cooler months of the year.
The 8 caravans on site were imported from the UK, modified for the local climate and set up as any such site in the rest of the world. Each caravan has a wooden platform and a barbeque 'stove' right by its side. Also sited in the compound is a little game area for kids.
If one is looking for a short break from the bright lights of Hong Kong, a place to stay after hiking in the mountains of South Lantau or simply star-gazing on a deserted beach, this caravan site might just be the perfect venue in one of the most densely populated places on this planet.
