波鞋街是香港登打士街至亚皆老街之一段花园街的俗称，位于九龙油尖旺区，是旺角的一个观光购物地点。整段波鞋街约150米长，约有50多间售卖运动鞋和运动用品的店铺。因为粤语将运动鞋称为「波鞋」，波鞋街因而得名。波鞋街的商铺自1980年代开始，因香港掀起了运动服装热潮而开始发展，至今逐渐已形成一个特色的购物区。根据行内人士表示，的商铺由五大经营者以连锁店方式经营，其中「允记体育用品公司」便拥有10间以上的鞋店。在寡头垄断下，该处出售的体育用品变相划一零售价格。早于1998年1月，当时负责市区重建工作的土地发展公司便倡议将旺角洗衣街、奶路臣街及花园街交界范围，当中涉及亚皆老街至奶路臣街的一段波鞋街。虽然住户普遍支持重建工作，但商户则强烈反对重建，认为复修便已足够，故重建计划一直未有启动。2007年3月10日，市区重建局终于落实这项重建计划，共涉及14幢楼宇及175个业权，并包括波鞋街的其中16间店铺。由于香港经济好转，预料需要付出的收购价将超逾10亿港元，导致整个重建计划赔本约9亿港元。市区重建局提出了两个发展方案，其中一个是商业、住宅两用，另一个则作纯商业发展，商场之上可能发展写字楼或酒店等商业用途。两个方案均会兴建一座面积约3万平方尺，楼高3层的「运动城」商场，专门售卖运动鞋和运动用品，并拟保留街铺的设计。波鞋街，是港人俗称，其实指旺角介乎亚皆老街与山东街之间的一段花园街，主要售卖世界各地品牌的时款运动鞋、各式运动服饰及体育用品，不但吸引活力的年青人，就连美国职业篮球明星球星勒邦占士也曾到此一游！这里为您提供香港波鞋街正规有效的信息，想看更多香港波鞋街的信息就来TripAdvisor吧。

波鞋街是香港很有名的街道，里面不同品牌的运动鞋应有尽有，而且价钱比外面的要平，很多香港人或是旅客都会专程来到波鞋街看看有没有自己很想要或是合适的鞋！

如果来到香港想买波鞋，旺角真是不二之选！
但不要抱太大期望，因为整条街都是差不多的店舖，来来去去都是哪几只热门的牌子，可是不见得有最新model，要找就去专门店或𣄃舰店，应该较容易找到心头好。

Hi, I was wondering if is save to go shopping around Mongkok few days before Chinese New Year. Are the shop working as usual? I would appreciate any info, I haven’t been in Hong Kong for three months.

I don't know exactly for the working schedule in Chinese New Year for those shops because based on information that i browsed there are many activities will be held in HK during that occasion such as fireworks, parades, festivals, etc. Means, there will be a lot of crowd there so logically there will be a lot of stores open as well to hold shopping festival, great discount, and so on

Hi happysheila, sorry for the late reply and it may be too late. Yes they have western sizes, but as soon as you go past 10-11 for men, it's very hard to find. There's only a couple of shops that stock over that size, and that may be only 1 or 2 styles.

Plenty of options including Underarmour. There are literally mare than 100 shops so you will need to choose wisely. Stick to the larger reputable sports stores and you will be ok. There's not much of a difference in price between the stores so spend a few dollars more to be safe,

Hi there, honestly, I'm not sure. However, the advice I received from my friends who been there is to visit the recognised store for purchase. This means that if they are push cart stalls or street stalls without any signage, don't get it from there. Choose those with shop front, either the brand's shop or recognise retail store that sells different brands. That should keep you safe from the fake ones. Hope this helps!
