This is the newest addition to the Victoria Harbour promenade on the Hong Kong Island side. Close to Causeway Bay, East Coast Park Precinct offers a pleasant space for locals and tourists alike to enjoy some nice scenery. Not too crowded even during weekends.

The park provides a panoramic view of the Victoria Harbour from east to west. Visitors can walk along the breakwater of the typhoon shelter to the centre of the harbour. Best time to visit at dusk. Shortcoming is the absence of direct public transport.

…I think this place will deserve five stars for the views and being another link in the island-side harbour walk but that looks a way off yet as it’s not yet connected to anything and is pretty hard to reach. As it is though, this park is still very much worth visiting, especially at night when it is lit up and the aforementioned views are at their most spectacular.

This is a seafront development and new leisure area on Victoria Harbour that was opened in Sept 2021. It is one of a series of promenade projects around the city being undertaken by the Highways Department.
What you will find here 9,800 sq. metres of open space with marked skating track, green friendly seating areas, a few children's play installations and a short pier that you can walk to the interesting Central-Wanchai Bypass East Vent Shaft Structure. Views from the pier of the harbour and the old Causeway Bay typhoon shelter just to the west, are very good from this location when sky conditions are favourable.
Overall, nothing remarkable about the East Coast Park Precinct but it is a good endeavour to create leisure and recreation space like this, particularly in densely populated areas of the city. Worth a look around if you are in the Tin Hau or Fortress Hill area and are interested in seeing this new promenade area.
Note: The easiest way to access the East Coast Park Precinct is to make your way to Watson Road from Fortress Hill MTR Station. Then walk northwest until Watson Road ends at the entrance to the new waterfront.

This East Coast Park Precinct Phase 1 was opened on September 25, 2021. Convenient location – near MTR Fortress Hill station. We could admire 360 degrees panoramic harbour view from end of breakwater. The “Victoria Harbour” lightbox was another highlight point to increase attraction. The lawn area, benches and pavilions were provided for us to enjoy relaxation in the city in the weekday. However, the environment became very crowded during the weekend. Worth to visit.
