Tai po market food hall….. what an experience… several food units, serving traditional Hong Kong fast food, try the won ton beef brisket noodle soup… it’s amazing, alternatively I recommend the fish ball, fish skin noodle soup…. The soup broth is tasty…. The won tons are packed full of meaty goodness, the beef so tender and flavourful…. With the fish balls, you can’t go wrong with the ever popular ingredient for noodle soup…. But for me it’s the crispy fried fish skin, I was reluctant at fish to try but what can I say, after the first taste it’s pure addiction, even try soak it in the soup broth, the skin remains firm and crispy… don’t know how they do it but it’s worth it…. Like all market places in HK you need to be quick, often you share tables with strangers, all looking for that quick bite…. Hussle and bustle of HK food markets it’s what makes the experience, but ultimately it’s the price that leaves you smiling…. For a bowl of noodle soup you’ll pay $15-20 HK which equates to £1-2 gbp…. Feed a family for less than £10…. You can’t do that in the UK…. That’s why I love HK and it’s food
