Great tasty dim sum at reasonable price. Enjoyed dining with my friends at this halal dim sum at the Avenue K food junction on 2nd floor.

We recently took the Hong Kong Dim Sum Food Tour (October 2018), and it was great. I agree with all of the other reviews. They accurately describe exactly what happens on the tour, although to be clear, it’s not really a tour. Perhaps it would be better to call it a dim sum “experience.” That’s because, as noted in some of the other reviews, you don’t wander from place to place sampling one thing here and one thing there. Instead, your excellent guide walks you to a local restaurant and orders a variety of dim sum for you to sample.
At the restaurant, you will no doubt be the only non-Chinese in the place. This is great. You are really getting a local experience. Certainly, we would never have been able to find this place let alone navigate the menu and order anything by ourselves. So, taking the tour was exactly the right way to go.
This was a lot of fun with a lot of great food. If you go to Hong Kong, take it and enjoy.

We met Sara at the meetingpoint and were surprised that we two of us were the whole tour. So it was a very intensive experience. Without her help we would never have had the chance to visit a dim sum restaurant that only chinese people visit and no one could speak english. Sara explained everything and patiently answered our questions. By the way - the dim sum were excellent.
Dear Sara, once again thanks a lot.

Omg the food was so delicious - I wish we could do this again before we leave HK. We will definitely do this again next time we are back. Not only was the dim sum incredible - so fresh, seafood focused, Sarah was a delightful host - very knowledgable and easy to be around.

We signed up for this because we love dim sum and it was overwhelming to read restaurant reviews and try to pick the right place on our own. It was a great decision to go with a local! Sarah is a delightful and engaging host and made this one of the highlights of our first visit to Hong Kong.
As our group of travelers from around the world assembled one by one outside the Jordan MTR station, Sarah welcomed us with a smile, immediately setting everyone at ease that we had found our dim sum guide and were in the right place to set out for our culinary adventure. As we walked a couple of blocks to our destination, she pointed out sites such as Jade Street along the way, giving us ideas for activities to plan later in our trip. This was a huge bonus since we had arrived late the night before, and hadn't yet gotten our bearings.
Sarah led the way to a bustling restaurant and we commandeered a table - something I would have felt very awkward about doing without an expert there to know that this was OK, being accustomed to waiting for staff to escort you to a table. After we were seated, she showed us the custom of using hot water to rinse your tableware. Within minutes, plate after plate of food arrived, and Sarah told us about each dish as it arrived. Our merry group of assorted travelers were soon chatting like old friends, trading travel tales and enjoying the camaraderie of fellow dim sum enthusiasts.
Many of the dishes were familiar: eggplant stuffed with minced seafood, steamed dumplings of all kinds, shrimp in a glassy wrapper. But there were also some items that were new to me, such as a sweet, eggy layered dessert. There were fish tanks in the front of the restaurant, and accordingly, many of the dishes contained seafood. The food was delicious, hot, and bountiful. Mightily as we tried, we just couldn't finish everything and left happy and sated.
Sarah is a delight and we are so happy that we had the opportunity to have dim sum with her. She is friendly and knowledgeable, and also very capable and efficient. She handled all the details so that we could relax and enjoy the meal. Highly recommended!

As a solo traveller who loves dumplings I was a bit overwhelmed about going for dim sum on my own in HK, which was high on my list of things to do. This tour was excellent. We were provided a meeting time and location and Sarah introduced herself and then we made a short walk to the restaurant which is in the Jordan area in Kowloon.
The restaurant is definitely local (but very clean and of high quality) - I noted no English anywhere - so having a local guide order for us was great. The food was fantastic. Sarah advised she visited many establishments before she found a restaurant that met the standard she and Warren were wanting for their tours - and it certainly paid off as the quality of the dumplings was excellent. You also don't go hungry...I didn't eat for the rest of the day I was so full. there was a mixture of fried and steamed dumplings, heavy on the seafood.
A big thank you to both Sarah and Warren who tracked down the specific type of sauce that was served with the fried dumplings in the restaurant for me - I was dying to buy a bottle to take home.

This is an excellent activity if you are looking to enjoy local cuisine with a smaller, more intimate group.
We had eight people at our Dim Sum experience, including a couple of USA, a family of four from Canada, myself and our local guide, Sarah.
Sarah was wonderful. She clearly loves her country and family, and was willing to impart her knowledge generously to us.
Very good value for money as well - just pay your guide $200HK on the day (plus tip - and most of us provided another $50HK).
Enjoy!

I clicked on the website listed on TA and got taken through to a placeholder site. Is there a functioning website with more info, please?

Hi Tamara, thanks for your enquiry, our website is .dimsumexperience.[com] from as far as we can see the TA links are working correctly for us, if it showing us something different from our site, we would be very interested to investigate it further? Thanks for reaching out and let us know if you have any specific questions! Cheers Warren
