This is a tourist attraction close to the renowned Tian Tan Buddha and Po Lin Monastery. A pleasant 20-minute walk from Ngong Ping, Wisdom Path is a collection of 38 pillars with Buddhist scripture inscription. Many argue that it is indeed a feng shui display. The lush space is cozy and offers a nice view.

Although tourists flock to the Big Buddha and the Ngong Ping cable car, the nearby Wisdom Path often gets overlooked. It really should be a must-see if you are visiting the Buddha. It is a simple but strikingly beautiful sight. The path is set into the mountainside at the foot of Lantau Peak and is lined with 38 towering wooden monuments, each one inscribed with a verse from the centuries-old Heart Sutra prayer.
Intriguingly, one of the columns is blank. All became clear later when we stopped to read the information plaque (we probably should have read the plaques first). It explained that the blank column at the top of the path represented the concept of 'emptiness' or ‘sunyata’, one of the key themes of the Heart Sutra. It also explained that path was designed in the shape of a number 8, symbolising infinity.
The Wisdom Path is very easy to get to. Just follow the signs from the Buddha. It is a very pleasant and flat 10-15 min walk and entry is free.
NOTE: If you are planning on visiting, be aware that the Buddha is currently covered in scaffolding and is undergoing renovation.

The signages are not that well placed. We asked the locals, they were all very not friendly. The views are ok. Just that signages and locals are not nice.

前幾日出完大澳篇之後，突然係到諗返個日我點解咁攰😩！先醒起當日有行程去過，就同你地講下啦～
其實當日入大澳前本身係打算去摸蜆嘅，但一去到東涌見到入去水口村架巴士勁多人後，我地一行三人就果斷放棄😅（怕多人逼啊嘛）。另轉面見到有車入大佛喎，就轉陣入大佛啦直接🗿。
去到大佛，如果唔怕攰都可以行樓梯上去近距離睇大佛🗿。但我怕攰🙃，所以就決定行去心經簡林睇睇啦。心經簡林唔係好遠，大佛行過去都只係大概15分鐘左右😳，沿途都有曬指示，一定唔會盪失路～
如是者我地就動身出發啦，都經歷左一段平路黎到心經簡林。個人認為心經簡林好似仲值得去過大佛🏝。當日唔算好天，有太陽得黎又有啲風都幾舒服。而且人唔算多都可以行個圈影下相，因為心經簡林嘅地方唔算好大，逗留三十鐘就可以走喇🦋。
影完相休息完後行返出大佛門口搭車。其實都好方便咖！！門口就有車去大澳，又有車去東涌，行程就可以多啲變化🚌。
‼️ P.S : 有揸車嘅朋友就要記住啦，如果想揸車入大澳呢，你係需要向運輸署申請返禁區紙，唔好咁傻豬衝入去比人罰錢啦🚗🚗🚗

Just ten minutes on foot beyond Po Lin Monastery and Big Buddha a trail leads to a monumental calligraphic installation, a collection of thirty eight wooden columns erected on the side of a hill in the formation of a figure eight, the symbol of infinity. A visitor can walk the narrow figure eight path up and down the slope of the hill. Each of the columns has the text of the Heart Sutra craved into it, treasured by Confusians, Buddhists and Taoists. It's a nice place to take a photograph with the peak of Lantau Mountain in the background away from the crowds.

There are signs that will guide you there, just keep following them. It's about a 10 minute walk down some paths past the Buddha (away from the main walkway to get to the Buddha)
