This is must-visit heritage museum for visitors who want to know and learn more about second world war history. There is board meeting room in which The British Lieutenant General Percival had face to face meeting with Japanese Imperial Lieutenant General Yamashita and finally decided to surrender Singapore to Japanese troop.

I came here because I'm very interested in World War II history and I was not disappointed. The exhibition here is very thorough and well designed. They have kept the room where the surrender was signed in 1942 and furnished it with original/replicia furniture. There is lot of information about what life was like in Singapore before, during and after the surrender. I strongly recommend this attraction to people interetsed in World War II. It was easy to take the bus here with the bust stop just down the road from this attraction.

This is an interesting museum and best explored by yourself as the guide was far too intensive. All displays are well written in English with interesting facts. You have to pay by card as they do no accept cash. MRT Station is very near but buses stop outside.

We were so lucky to find this museum on our last day in Singapore. The museum is well laid-out and organized beautifully. The exhibits draw you in and explain in detail all about this part of history. I learned so much; even after being on other tours in Singapore. My family and I loved it; we highly recommend! Bonus: the staff was so sweet and helpful; going so far as to give me a wrap when I entered into a super cold room!

Got in here from downtown, hopped on the subway till beauty world, then catch a bus and it stopped within minute walk from the main entrance. For foreigners the entrance fee is SG$3, very affordable.
The exhibition was separated into a few sections. Introduction to the ford factory (a very brief one), the war era, the post war and an outdoor garden.
I am a war history fanatic and I loved how they, like any other war museums, put on the spooky red/black theme in the pre and during war section, and the white and bright theme in the post war part. I arrived at 9:30 and I was the only visitor at that time, was going to spend 4-5 hours in the museum to go through every single piece of item but then the air con was WAY TOO COLD, I lingered for 2hrs inside the war era, rushed out in 30 mins from the post war. Real shame.
A funny piece of misleading information spotted-and I actually brought it up to the staff there, and to my surprise she replied that I wasn’t the only one who’ve pointed this out. Germany invaded Poland on September 1, not 3. And the reason why they have that on display was actually referring to the middle and the bottom description, where it says Britain / Europe declared war on Germany. Wondering if they would correct this little bit? In fact, there is another error on the name Cha(e)n Peng(?) towards the end of the post war era near the exit, but it was way too cold for me to check, might have been just me.......

After 'checking in' we started our visit in the room identified as 'War' and just as we were about to complete it, 2 coaches arrived with very young schoolchildren who proceeded to run riot, screaming and shouting in the Exhibition which we found totally distracting.

While the lady on reception did her very best to resolve the situation the Teachers who came with the children were not interested in controlling the children and in my view had no respect for the Exhibition and it meaning or purpose, allowing the children who were no older that 6 years to use the place as a 'Playground'.

4 boys were actually stopped from using the 'War' section as a racetrack, while a teacher some time later pushed a stroller pram around the place with a baby in to make sure there were no children still in the place before they got back on their respective coaches and left. Which then restored the peace and quiet that this Exhibition deserved along with the respect.
