I just had the most appalling experience at Team Salon in JEM Mall, and I feel it’s my duty to warn others about this place. I went in for a hair re-bonding treatment, and what happened was nothing short of a nightmare.
Initially, they informed me that my hair length was classified as "maxi long," which meant an extra charge. I was fine with that, but then the stylist decided on his own that he would only treat half the length, claiming the rest of my hair didn’t need it. After some back and forth, he reluctantly agreed to charge me for the "long" length, but assured me the entire length would look uniform. I was prepared to pay for the full treatment, so I expected professional service.
The first red flag was when he began applying the lotion—he barely covered the hair up to my shoulders, even though my curls extended well beyond that. I had to confront him, asking why he wasn’t applying the product to the agreed length. Only then did he begrudgingly bring out more lotion, but it was obvious he was trying to cut corners. He applied it hastily and washed it out after less than five minutes, which anyone who’s had re-bonding knows is ridiculously short. It felt like he was rushing through the whole process, as if my hair was just an inconvenience.
Throughout the session, the staff kept chatting amongst themselves in such a rude and sarcastic manner. It was clear they were more interested in gossiping than focusing on their work. The atmosphere was uncomfortable and unprofessional.
After quickly drying my hair, the stylist applied another product, but again, he barely waited a couple of minutes before washing it out. The straightening part was done just as carelessly; instead of meticulously working on small sections of hair, he lazily grabbed large chunks and ran the straightener through them. The entire process was over in about an hour and a half, when it should have taken at least 3-4 hours. I’ve been getting re-bonding treatments for over a decade, so I know how it’s supposed to be done.
When I checked my hair afterward, I was horrified. The top layer looked somewhat straight, but underneath, it was a mess—curly, frizzy, and severely damaged. It was heartbreaking to see my hair in such a terrible state, and I was on the verge of tears. The stylist’s lack of care and expertise had left my hair looking fried and unhealthy.
I demanded to speak with the manager, who admitted that the stylist wasn’t even a re-bonding specialist and had likely never done it before. They essentially used me as a guinea pig while charging me SGD 358 for the privilege! The manager also acknowledged that the damage might have been caused by the stylist’s inexperience and his rush to finish the job, but couldn’t explain why someone unqualified was allowed to handle such a delicate procedure.
After much arguing, the manager offered to "fix it" the next day, promising to handle it personally. However, he couldn’t guarantee any improvement or even explain what would happen if the damage got worse.
This experience was an absolute disaster from start to finish. For a salon with a high-end location in a major mall, the service was shockingly bad, and I felt completely ripped off. The staff's rude, sarcastic behavior and the shoddy work reflect a total lack of respect for customers.
I strongly urge everyone to stay far away from "Team Salon, JEM Mall" or any of their other branches. If anyone has advice on what legal action can be taken, please share—I’m devastated by the damage done to my hair, and this level of unprofessionalism should not go unchecked.

Lendlease is the worst shopping mall management in Singapore. The staffs in the office cannot do proper job. They punish customers for their mistakes when submitting receipts BUT they are not apologetic for their own mistakes. Lendlease set up lots of rules towards customers when submitting receipts but the staffs in office do not approve even receipts submitted properly. Staff services from office is extremely poor. The only things customers can do is to spend less in Jem, spend less = save more for the wallet

Amazing food and service! Authentic Indonesian food! The place is clean and the staffs are amazing. Food are delicious and it has 8 different stage level of chilli to be choosen.

The toilet located on very bad location, have to walk until very far for toilet. The toilet the dirty and smelly.

Escalators kept breaking down. Been there at least once a week to dine but have to wait for lift instead due to the broken escalators. Its has been more than 1 month but the escalators are still faulty. Moreover, the toilets at most levels are filthy,reeking of urine. Something is seriously wrong with the facility management. Despite a high human traffic, they seem to ignore the basic amenities of the mall.

The soap in the toilets are placed in a bad position . Its so annoying!The toilets are very wet and dirty!

มาพักแถวนี้ ต้องฝากท้องไว้ที่นี่ มีร้านอาหารหลายร้านค่ะ ช่วงสุดสัปดาห์คนจะเยอะ มีร้านค้า ร้านเสื้อผ้า ร้านของเล่นสำหรับเด็กๆ หน้าห้างมีรถเข็นให้ยืมค่ะ ใช้เสร็จให้เอากลับมาคืน อยู่ติดกับสถานีรถไฟฟ้า เดินทางไป-มา สะดวกค่ะ

Good place to walk around, filled with a lot of different food stores, as there are three shopping malls back to back. Tho because of covid restrictions may not be as pleasant as the non-covid periods.

This place has a rather large variety of both raw and cooked japanese food. The promotion with uob can be attractive, this month it is a 1-1 promotion of lobster salad roll. Some months are salmon sashimi

Jem has all the upper middle brands you'd want - like uniqlo, kinokuniya. It even has a Don Don donki now! Super convenient walkway to the mrt, and next to other malls.
