A suburban mall with some oomph. No luxury fashion brands, but there is shake shack and aesop. The covid layout is a beauracrat’s dream - maybe obstacles and barriers for you to navigate and tear your hair out

Westgate and jem are side by side in Jurong East. Westgate is like the higher end sister with more upscale brands, but still in upper middle range. I personally like green dot for meals and the first floor open atrium and seating area

Westgate mall was built as a first class mall on the west side of Singapore. The original tenants are mostly first class stores. However, the area wasn’t ready for a first class mall at that time. Soon most of the higher class tenants started to move out after their lease expired. The mall started to slide in class as average class tenants replaced the original tenants. Now, Westgate has become an average class mall and because of its location the traffic is still rather busy.

Great shopping here ; and plenty of shops to look in : great prices here as well because not everyone can afford to shop at places like paragon mall on orchard rd : was told it was easy to get here by public transport ; but instead opted for a taxi; cost us about $14 from holiday in city centre to shopping centre

This was a very busy shopping centre but could do with better signage as we didn’t find it easy to see where we were going

This is a nicer mall comparing to the JEM next door. The surrounding is pleasant place and less crowded.
The Isetan departmental store and supermarket has a lot if imported products from Japan. Unfortunately, they will be closing down soon.

This mall is connected to the Jurong East MRT station. Huge mall with handful of eateries around. There's a food court at the ground level with good choices and also known bak kut teh shop on the same level.

During our time going to Westgate we went to a sushi place which had self service ordering a train trays delivering your food directly to your table. Even though you have to queue up for the food it is worth the wait as you get good quality sushi and Japanese cuisine.
