Best Tour in Puerto Montt

What a wonderful tour. Our guide was Gloria and I believe Carlos was our driver. Gloria was a real delight. She covered information about the area and culture. She made suggestions on stops and I feel we got most of the highlights and avoided the crowds. The beauty of the country side is amazing. A real surprise was the restaurant. It was in a beautiful garden with great food. Afterwards we viewed the town of Puerto Vargas. The fish market was also cool. Need to get Gloria to help me ship up an alpaca scarf. 😉
One of our friends left their phone in the bus. She didn't realize until she was on the tender. She called Denis when she got to the ship and Denis already knew about the phone and had turned it into Princess Security and she got it when they boarded the boat. Thank you Denis!

This was a small excursion with our own driver and a total of 6 people. We saw wonderful sites including Green Lagoon, Llanquihue Lake, Emerald Lake and the Falls at the foot of Osorno volcano. We stopped for empanadas for lunch. Our guide was excellent, so informative. The time at the various stops were very sufficient. A great time was had by all. Denis Purtov's communications prior to our trip were very good. We thank he and his company for a wonderful tour.

Fantastic tour and day with Denis. Don’t hesitate to book!

We had a great tour and fantastic day with Denis on our port stop in Puerto Montt. Denis communicated well via email and WhatsApp and was waiting for us at the dock as he said. He also uses a separate driver so he can concentrate on speaking with his passengers and pointing out sights.
We started with a tour of the town and then headed to the National Park to see Emerald lake, Orsorno volcano and petrohue falls. Denis made sure to try and avoid the cruise bus tours as much as possible. We also made a stop for empenadas and local beer. We ended with a quick stop in Puerto Varas. The price was excellent compared to the ship and it was so nice having a small group of 6 instead of 50! Highly recommend.

Wonderful tour and great value

What a great all day tour we had of Puerto Montt and the surrounding area. We were a group of 14 on a cruise circumnavigating South America and chose this tour offered by Puerto Montt Excursions. Denis Purtov, the owner, was very responsive, organized and helpful. Our wonderful guide, Patricia, was a treasure. She was very knowledgeable, spoke good English, and clearly loves the area she lives in. She gave great commentary, answered all our questions and showed us so many great sites during our time together. We saw all the sites promised in the tour description such as Lake Llanquihue, Osorno Volcano and Petrohue Falls.. We made a quick stop for lunch at a local mercado that sold many types of empanadas and kuchen, a cake introduced by Germans who settled the area in the 1850's. By the time we got to Puerto Varas it was raining so we did a drive by and then went to a local craft market that was very good. By the time we were dropped off at the port we all remarked how lucky we were to have chosen this company.to explore the region. It was a day to be remembered..

Tour in puerto montt - Dec 30, 2022 (NCL Star)

Enjoyed a 6-hour tour with the guide Christian around Puerto Montt. We saw the Osorno Volcano and Petrohue Falls, Todos los Santos Lake and Puerto Varas as well as the fish market in Puerto Montt.
Everything was well organized and our guide was interesting and knowledgeable.

We did the Osorno Volcano & Petrohue Falls tour. Communication with Denis Purtov prior to cruise was great. Instructions were clear on where to meet tour guide. Guide was friendly and very informative. Tour thru city was limited due to ongoing unrest but guide pointed out city highlights. In addition to the main advertised tour stops of the volcano and falls, we also made a few scenic lookout stops to enjoy the scenery. Guide has lots of information to share. He even included stop at his favorite kuchen (German coffe cake) stand where we could chose to purchase mid morning snack.

Brilliant Short Excursion - Very impressed

From initial emails to Denis Purtov, to locking it in, shore excursion day and everyone is on time (14 in our group). Our guide was Carlos (excellent English). Llanquihue Lake (spectacular views with touchy-feely alpacas/llamas), with a sneak peak at Osorno Volcano (as cloud passed over it). oh, so sad. Then Vincente Perez Rosales National Park, and there's Osorno in full view, no clouds (oh, so happy) and below the roar of Petrohue Rapids/Falls. Absolutely stunning, and easy to stay awhile and soak it all up. Emerald Lake was interesting, the lunch at restaurant took way too long and was average (meals were messed up). Quick stop to Puerto Varas (town of roses) for a quick explore. It was a big day, and I think a lot of time was wasted unnecessarily by having a sit-down lunch at the restaurant (additional cost - not included in tour price) when most of the bus voted for a quick snack somewhere. Even a boxed lunch would have sufficed. Aside from that, the beauty is in the landscapes and our day was perfect in that regard. This tour was great value for money and Denis is a true professional. Thank you.

Wonderful tour of area

Patty - our guide knew the area wall, answered our questions, and added tidbits that made the trip very enjoyable. Our full day together was very well organized, full of beautiful sites and information. We met our guide at the cruise port, stopped at lookout above city, then went to see Osorno volcano and learned of two others in the area. Osorno was beautiful. Several stops in National park with great waterfalls , lake ,and green lagoon. Before heading back to the ship we stopped in the village to explore a bit on our own. The weather was perfect.

Could not have been better!

Dennis was prompt in responding to my inquiry and his guide and driver were excellent. His vehicle was spotless and new and he customized the tour to meet all my requests. I would look no further if you are looking for a share excursion in Puertomontt.

Great tour of area

Great full day trip. Met at the cruise port and was very organized. Stopped at lookout above city ,then went to see volcano from a great vantage point. Several stops in National park with great waterfalls , lake ,and green lagoon. Then stopped at a small town in route back to Puerto Montt. Patty- our guide ,did a great job.
