I was surprised by how detailed the museum was. It's free, but you need to know the local language. So I just looked and passed. I think it should be a little more universal.

A beautiful place full of history and things that, although part of an era, are worth seeing and understanding. The very complete guided tour. I do not recommend carrying small children under 6. Because they're gonna get bored and there's no "vent" places. The visit is long for them. But it's totally worth going.

The museum is spectacular. It's big, complete, objective. It shows the horrors of dictatorship and totalitarian governments in general. Highly recommended

An indispensable visit for those who love history! Very easy access, with a subway station practically inside the Museum. Reserve at least 3h to make a visit with quietness, tranquility and reflection.

The museum is a great account of what was the dictatorship in Chile. It is very important to know the past and to see that many allegations that were made in the past, such as saying that an election was fraudulently held and that the government was not legitimate, are happening again today, either in the United States or in Brazil. The new generation has not lived through this and plays dangerously with opportunists who are watching and who can destroy our so fragile democracy.

Awful !!! This place embodies everything that is left-handed indoctrination, how can it be possible for the state to invest in this horrible place instead of condoning the fall or improving health or safety 😡😡😡 I just don't want my taxes to finance this abomination

If there is a place that is not to be missed in Santiago, it is the Human Rights Museum.
It tells the story of Chile, the horrors of Pinochet, and the intervention of the United States.
It is a museum to learn about history and so that abuses of power are not repeated.
It's also in a nice neighborhood for walks. I recommend that you go to Parque Quinta Normal afterwards.

Incredible, it portrays a sad fact from our recent history with many photos and objects. Good to visit to get an idea of the atrocities committed and that it never happens again!

This Museum houses a great variety of testimonies, documents and archives in different formats and supports, with exhibit memory accounts of the violations of human rights committed during the last Chilean military dictatorship (1973-1990), their background and the democratic transition process. It also chronicles the human right transgressions around the world. Free to get in but everything is in Spanish so get an audio guide for your language of choice. Gripping, graphic, grim. A sad reminder of how brutal people can be when they seek to impose their political ideology through sheer power and ruthlessness. I was very moved by the wall of over 3000 people who were missing during Pinochet’s dictatorship – their faces, where possible, the only link to their disappearance.

Hola !!!!!! sólo tienes el Metro, Estación Quinta Normal te deja ahí mismo. Si vas con tiempo, al frente en el sector de la Quinta Normal hay unos Museos.

Para ir ao museu dos direitos humanos basta pegar a linha 5 do metro ( linha verde ), no sentido plaza de maipu, e descer na estação quinta normal. Inclusive vale o passeio por esta linda quinta.
A entrada no museu é gratuita.
