I love the organised chaos of this place. Bursting with life! Huge array of products and dining options, including vegan!! Vendors are friendly. Card accepted almost everywhere I saw.

If you are brave enough, this is where you should go (arround 10am) to get to know what Santiago is about. Absolutely amazing - please be aware these are latinamerican standars! If you cannot accept that, don't go!!

We visited differeChurrasco nt parts of the market from different countries and also from Chile. Floor was wet so be careful when walking. Tried different foods including the churrasco. Prices cheaper than at restaurants. May want to try to go on the outer edge to eat if you want peace and tranquility.

An area to be avoided. I have visited Santiago about a dozen times since 1980, and I felt extremely intimidated this time, and I was in a car. The area around La Vega is now a tented village of Colombians and other illegal immigrants. A teeming mass of people selling things off the pavement and rubbish and graffitti everywhere. An area I felt safe to walk in four years ago when I last went, I would not even get out of the car now. Dangerous, especially at night. Did not go ito the marekt for my own safety. As a gringo you stand out like a sore thumb.

El ahorro dejo de ser ahorro cdo pague el estacionamiento!!! Todo lo q me pude haber ahorrado del supermercado me lo trago el coste de dejar el auto protegido. Soy de clase media baja, debiera ser mas barato estacionar allí pero protegido, corresponde.

Experiencia obligatoria si estan en stgo, un lugar donde encuentras una gran variedad de frutas y verduras, las precios varian dependiendo la hora del dia, entre mas temprano vayas mas barato es. Hay que tener mucho cuidado con tus pertenencias, ojo con eso.

Un lugar que puede visitar para realizar sus compras a precios asequibles como minorista o mayorista, como paseo turístico...etc. Encontrará de TODO. Un punto a considerar: La seguridad, debe mejorar aún más en este item la administración del lugar con la ayuda municipal. ¡Visitelo!

Eso es correcto, no obstante siempre habrá algo abierto, lo que pasa es que en la mañana es la concentración de más locales abiertos, aunque a mi juicio el domingo no es el más entretenido ya que la mitad de los locales están ya cerrados...
