While in Santiago, some friends and I decided to do a day trip wine tasting tour, We contacted Detour Wine Taste Day Tour, they offered sound advice and excellent recommendations of how to spend the day and maximize our experience, one of our best experience during our trip. I can tell you this was the best decision ever, we visited 3 different wineries sites and did many wine tasting. We had lunch in one of the wineries' restaurant, they had many local as well as international selection of food. YOU SHOULD NOT MISS THIS. The tour service was excellent and professional, the tour guide, Rodrigo, explained all in details, the driver, Carlos was also a very professional and informative person. Will come again and do another one.

En mi visita a Chile realice con unos amigos un tour al valle de Casa Blanca para este tour contrate a Detour Wine taste Chile, fue una buena decisión visitamos tres viñedos con muchas degustaciones de vinos en las diferentes viñas, nuestra almuerzo fue en restaurante de la zona, que tenían algunos productos típicos del país, no se lo pueden perder. El servicio es de primera. La empresa Detour es excelente al igual que el servicio del guía Rodrigo y el conductor Carlos

One of the best wine tasting experiences that we have ever been on so far. We did a tour to "valle de Casablanca" and visit three wineries which had a great wine selection. Our guide, Don Carlos, was very knowledgeable, helpful, and he didn't force anything on us. He also made us laugh all the time. He has a great sense of humor.
Anyone who needs local experts to make the Chilean wine tasting experience come alive should include "Detour Wine" in your plans.
We had a wonderful day!!!

Recibimos un tour con Don Carlos quién nos llevo a un almuerzo con maridaje y degustación de vinos, el cual estuvo 10 puntos. Todo, desde el servicio, hasta la explicación de los sitios en los que parabamos y algunas paradas adicionales para fotos y la eleccion del restaurante (house of morande) fue A1. Volvería a tomar el tour!!

We (a group of 3) ordered a full day wine tour by Detour by placing a request on their web-page. Only minutes after i sent the form on their page, an operative from detour called me and we made a booking.
However, this booking was cancelled at 18.06 the day before it was supposed to happen due to some problem with a winery. The company sent this in an email and that was that. (when a booking is made over the phone, it is customary to cancel over the phone as well)
In the evening, most tourists are getting ready for dinner and checking emails are not a priority.
We cut our night short, since the tour was to start at 8 am.
At breakfast we noticed the cancellation email.
So not only did we not get a tour, they affected our whole schedule for our vacation. When we called about a replacement tour of another district, they were defensive and non co-operative, talked lots to eachoter in spanish and hung up on us.
NOT what you expect of a company in the tourism business.
My advice to other travellers is STEER CLEAR OF DETOUR!
