This review is long overdue, as we had one of the best days in Chile when we were there in February 2019.We were a group of 4 friends traveling together from Canada and our friends from USA.We have done wine tours all over the world,and this day with Mick ranks at the top.Great scenery, his selection of Winery’s was top notch.Our first and favourite was Antiyal.I am a member of Opimian Society,which is the largest wine club in Canada,and Antiyal Wines are available to us.
If you want a great relaxing day with friends and wine ,you won’t be disappointed.No pressure by Mick or the wineries to purchase.We left the selection of the wineries to Mick.Fantasic choice for lunch he picked.HarasDePirque.Try the Albis wine with lunch. We have not up loaded photo as 2 of our pictures are already up.The 4 of us are with Mick in the picture. The 2 men have Cork hats on from wine trip to Portugal .Sorry for the delay Mick.

We booked a trip on line from home before even venturing to Chile. But Mike was there to pick us up exactly as planned months before and took us on a really interesting day out. He knows his wine and he likes to share his knowledge, but he is definitely NOT a wine bore. The whole day was just such good fun.

This was a great experience overall and would highly recommend for anyone in Santiago. I was looking for a different kind of wine tasting experience and this definitely fit the bill. Great wine tasting by the beach with plenty wine to go around. The penguins were cool to see along with all the other nature in the area. Obviously the alpacas were a great hit. We ended the day at a small winery- delicious wines and food! Not only was the experience great, but so was our guide! He was very knowledgeable and easy to be around. My husband was also ill and he was very accommodating in trying to make it work to see what we could do.
100% would recommend. Just be sure to plan a nap for the end of the day because you'll be exhausted.

It was a great wine tour. Our guide Mike has taken us to 4 wineries and has given us a lot of information about wine making in Chile. We’ve visited both boutique wineyards, middle scale wineyards and also the big ones.
One day is not enough to visit many wineyards. So you may go seperately to the big ones such as Concho y Torro.

Honestly, I went into the adventure not knowing much about formal wine production or tasting but I can tell you, Mick is the best! His welcoming California-style attitude and enthusiasm for wine makes for an outstanding day in the picturesque Maipo Valley. We went out on a Monday when most wineries were closed but Nick used his connects to open up 5 outstanding locations for us. Here are my thoughts on 3 of them.
Our first stop was at the Viña Antiyal where we learned all about Biodynamic Garagiste wine production. Don’t know much about Biodynamic Garagiste? You will when you leave! The rooftop patio we did our tasting on overlooked acres of grapevines and the Andes mountains in the background.
It was then off to the Perez Cruz vineyard for a look at a larger production boutique winery. Their main facility was designed by renowned architect José Cruz Ovalle and it’s enchanting! The wine isn’t so bad either ;) Each tasting is paired with a local cheese, nut or chocolate. And make sure they pour you a glass of their rosé.
Our day wrapped up with a quick trip to the William Fèvre winery. Here is where got to try Victor Pino Torche‘a award winning Espino Reserva Especial Chardonnay. I wanted to buy a case and bring it back with me!
Needless to say, when we were dropped back off at our hotel we were happy, filled with knowledge and more than a little tipsy. Enjoy the trip!

Mick was the sommelier for our tour, which included the two of us and another couple. We visited four wineries in the full-day tour: Antiyal (small, biodynamic), Perez Cruz (excellent tour and tasting experience), Concho y Toro (mainly for a tasty and simple lunch) and Haras de Pirque (spectacular facility and views). Wines tasted were reds except for a rose and a Sauvignon Blanc. Mick is very knowledgeable about wine in general and Chilean wine in particular. He was a congenial and well-organized guide. At a couple of the places he enlisted the help of winery staff to conduct tours, and they did a good job as well. We learned a lot while thoroughly enjoying the day.

My wife and I spent 2 days with Mick - one in Maipo and another in Casablanca. The experience was fantastic - from the wineries that he picked to attention to detail to being flexible and accommodating - we couldn't ask for anything more. If we're ever back in Chile, we're definitely giving Mick a call!

Fantastic day with Mick who was incredibly knowledgable and passionate about everything wine and took us to four fantastic and very different vineyards. Could not recommend this day enough - just be prepared that the ‘samples’ are generous. Lunch which you could buy at one of the vineyards was beautiful and just four of us in total on the tour. I’m sure the memories will come flooding back when we open the bottles we bought (something for every budget) back in the U.K.

during our recent visit to Chile we had the true pleasure of joining a tour of their wine country. our guides, Mick and Clemente, were so very very knowledgeable and entertaining... we enjoyed visiting 4 wineries....one being Antiyal (Clemente's family organic winery..... we not only learned about the varieties and nuances of wines but more about organics and biodynamics.... if you ever have the opportunity to take this tour you will not regret it!

Mick, our tour guide, provided a great day of fun, knowledge, and winery visiting with our bus of cruise ship passengers, which we collected from various hotels in Santiago.
Our visits to 4different wineries provided us with varied opportunities to experience life in the “trenches”.
The wines we tried ranged from certified organic to midsized producers, and NO ONE would be able to say they didn’t get enough!
The scenery added to the experience for sure., as we traveled through the valley.
We had a cheese nut sampler at one stop, and were given a great chance to purchase a beautiful lunch at another stop.
It was a full day of wine tasting, information gathering and delightful company of American guests we had previous not met.
Well worth the price! Comfortable mini bus too!
Mick has found his calling!

I'm planning to visit Chile in November, and I was hoping to take two wine tasting tours from Santiago to Anconcagua Valley and to Cachapoal Valley. I don't see these offered as selections that can be booked via Viator or Tripadvisor. Are these options no longer available from this company?

Do you have capability of picking up two travelers at Valparaiso cruise port (Emerald Princess) & transporting to Santiago airport while visiting 2-3 wineries on way (Concha & Toro, Cousino Macul & ? less known but exceptional smaller one) with stop for lunch ? Price for two ? What if more people ?
