O estádio é antigo. O ponto forte é a localização, ao lado do shopping Quicentro e de restaurantes. Assisti na torcida equatoriana a um jogo do Independente del Valle pela Libertadores. Ambiente tranquilo, com muita civilidade. Valeu demais a visita!

I wandered across the stadium on my first day in Quito and realized there was a game that night. I found the ticket window right on the front of the stadium facing Avenida 6 de Decembre and bought a sidelines seat (Tribuna) for $15 for Liga de Cuenca. They ask you which side you want, south (sur) or north. Seems like south is usually the home team's fans, so I asked to sit there. The security going in is pretty easy, You basically get three stubs together, the first gate takes one, then a second gate takes the other, leaving you with your stub. I was lightly frisked by a guard, but unlike other stadiums in South America they didn't take my belt (Manta, Ecuador) or my loose change (Bogota). Inside was very easy going. Lots of families and seniors. I think it was date night for the teens sitting to my right. Vendors wander the stands selling stuff. I got a large beer for $3 and a couple empenadas for $2.50. For beers, you pay the guy up front, then he runs off and fetches it and brings it back to you (they put ice in it, if you don't want that say so, "sin hielo"). The stadium feels like it's 10 degrees colder than anywhere outside, it was very chilly (night game) so bundle up, you can't put on what you didn't bring.

We went to Uni Católica vs. LDU Quito and paid 12$ each for a tribune seat. The stadium was not even half full. It was our first soccer game in south america, for that it was okay ;-)

Es un estadio de fácil acceso, cerca a una terminal de transporte donde un taxi te cuesta solo 4 usd (Dolares americanos), capacidad para 45 mil espectadores. Desde cualquier tribuna se aprecia el espectáculo perfectamente.

Viaje con unas amigas para el concierto de Soy Luna y decidimos almorzar en este establecimiento la comida esta fresca y feliciosa pero se demoraron un poco en servir y necesitabamos un enchufe para cargar los celulares pero no encontramos uno.

El atahualpa de Quito es un estadio antiguo, desfasado , se quedó en el tiempo, deberian las instituciones encargadas velar por la modernizacion del mismo... La gente con el extranjero amable y educada.

He ido casi todo mi vida a verle jugar al Deportivo Quito la AKD, a la selección de mi Ecuador y a muchos conciertos, tengo los mejores recuerdos de este lugar, aquí he visto hazañas increíbles y tengo los mejores recuerdos de este lugar, es un espacio para pasar con amigos, familiares y tener los mejores recuerdos de momentos vividos en este palacio del deporte para mi. Debe mejorar en ciertos aspectos de infraestructura pero aun así es un lugar que te dejara un grato recuerdo al ver un partido o un concierto en el mismo.

Fui varias veces a ver al deportivo quito, el ambiente es muy chevere y venden cerveza, el estadio ya esta un poco viejo y deteriorado

Es uno de los escenarios deportivos más antiguos de Quito la mayoría de los quiteños por lo menos una vez caímos les recomiendo las empanada de morocho y si eres paisano el ají te va a encantar ojo al extranjero con esta degustacion por que es ají de maní, la cerveza es en vaso y todavía tienes precios cómodos lo chevere se ahora es q tienes tu puesto numerado y ya no es paseo de un día.

Hi! I will be in Quito in March on vacation and Guns n Roses will be playing on the 21st. I want to buy tickets and the seating area I am interested is called Palco. Is that a good area to see a concert or is there a special service they provide if you sit there? Appreciate for any kind of info on this

Not sure for a rock concert or where the stage is set up ... but this could help ... for futbol games there are three areas of seating, the general south and north (basically, free for all end zone if you were at a US football game) then Tribuna, which is general admission sidelines (like between the goal line and the 40 yard lines in US football), then Palco, which is like general admission (sometimes assigned) at midfield, so like 40 yard line to 40 yard line) and for the futbol games they are the best seats, but I usually only pay for Tribuna because why pay the extra few bucks. If the concert is at midfield, Palco would be the best seats. Hope that helps. Rock on.
