We contacted Exploor for our honeymoon trip in Perù. Our goal was to get help from a local agency to organise a long trip with plenty of activities and therefore ease out our effort while also planning our wedding.
We found in Exploor the perfect fit for this.
The trip was planned for the first 2 weeks of november and we started the discussions with the agency in february so that we could make sure to have everything in place on time. After expressing our preferences they came back to us with a potential list of day by day hotels and activities that we then adjusted together and confirmed.
What has stood out the most for us is their availability during our staying and how they managed some of the misunderstandings and misadventure that we ran into.
Overall we’re happy with our choice and we recommend it

Our family’s custom Peru experience was way beyond expectations thanks to Exploor’s impeccable planning. Every detail was absolutely perfect for us (including our 2 teenage children). Our trip included the sacred valley, Machu Picchu, and the Amazon - we had very limited time and wanted to see as much as possible. Each stop was absolutely incredible! The guides and drivers were top notch at every destination and we absolutely loved all of the accommodations selected for us. The only negative would be some communication issues and an error in Aguas Calientes that derailed our original plan for Machu Picchu slightly - but the visit and our guide were both so amazing it was nothing more than a hiccup in an otherwise beyond perfect vacation! We would absolutely recommend using Exploor!

So worth getting up early, my guide Maik and I were the only ones at the lake and there were hundreds of people hiking us as we were coming down.
Maik was also able to sore my luggage in the van as I was changing hotels after the trip.

We had an incredible experience with Junior as our tour guide and Haro as our driver. Both were exceptionally courteous and made us feel welcome throughout the trip. Junior showcased some breathtaking views and guided us along special routes, providing fascinating insights into the history of the lake and Peru. His knowledge made the experience not only educational but also enjoyable.
Junior took fantastic photos of us and demonstrated remarkable patience during the entire tour. My fiancé and I were thrilled to arrive early, as we truly had the lake to ourselves, just as others had mentioned in their reviews. This early arrival allowed us to capture stunning pictures in a serene setting, just before the crowds arrived.
The private tour and one-on-one experience with Junior felt exclusive and intimate, which we greatly appreciated. It was absolutely worth the additional cost. Junior and Haro were also very accommodating, taking us for lunch and ensuring a comfortable return to our hotels.
We enjoyed our time so much that we requested Junior to be our guide again, with Haro as our driver. We felt safe, cared for, and entertained throughout our journey. Their professionalism and warmth truly made our experience memorable.

Another early start for us with our guide Mick arrived at our hotel exactly as arranged. He used WhatsApp to keep us informed of pickup etc. It was big day visiting the Sacred Valley. First stop was to feed llamas and Alpacas 🦙 with a demonstration on how they produce the wool and garments. Then we were shown the store full of amazing products. As we were doing a private tour we were the only people there. Next we visited Moray to see the terraces used by the Incas to experiment with crops. Then a visit to the salt harvesting area where they extract the salt from a saltwater spring which is 5 x saltier than seawater. We then visited a place that brews and sells Chicha, which is a traditional Peruvian beer made from corn, pretty good. I got a shot of the Skylodge hanging on the side of a cliff, would you stay there? After lunch we went to Ollantaytambo. We caught the scenic train to Machu Picchu from there the other day and didn’t even see the ruins. So fortunately this tour took us there. It was spectacular and it would have been a shame to miss it, but I suppose if you missed it you wouldn’t know. 🤷♂️
Again I must say our guide Mick and driver Erwin (not sure I spelled that right) from Exploor were fantastic and very informative. I highly recommend them.

My trip to Peru with Exploor was a 10/10, everything was outstanding. Every day was something new, all my activities were fun and intimate. Everyone from my driver, to the tour guides, everyone at the hotel, and the business operators, were kind, punctual, welcoming, professional, and helpful. They have it all planned out perfectly. So far they’re my best travel agency experience!
