I don't see why you couldn't just pay and go straight into the hot spring? The reception sells bottles of water only no shops around for swimwear. I'd wear an old t-shirt and shorts 😊

You can drive there, although the road isn't great. Don't know if they are open on Easter.

Some private taxi drivers will do you a deal to go to the hot pools and other nearby attractions. We had one driver offer us $100FJD for the hot pools and the gardens, basically said he would drive and wait for us (you could negotiate for cheaper). We didn't do this as we hired a car for 3 days at $70FJD per day. If you are interested in hiring a car, I can recommend the company we used.
