The tower near to city square only 5 minutes walking, going up to tower by stairs or by funicular (0.6€)/ person, it was very short only 60 seconds and we found ourselves up infront of the tower…
At 12 pm sharp the canon went off people gathered around the tower to watch this.

Some great photos and exhibits inside and the view from the top was amazing, very beautiful with the lights at nights.

This tower was a real surprise, the entrance was without Reservation.
After a good climb of stairs , the top is worth the effort , a 360 view of Zagreb and enough to appreciate a little more St Mark's Church.

Perhaps the most famous landmark. But it is a long climb up (yes we walked). Perpas beter to take the cable car up. Its an old defence tower. You could even climb to the top, we didn't. Every day at noon they shoot the canon (incredible loud) to synchronize the bell towers down in the city.

If you want panoramic views of Zagreb this is the place to go. However you need to be mobile as it is several floors high all accessed by steep spiral staircases. The climb right to the outdoor deck above the bell tower if well worth it, the views of the old town are spectacular

I liked the whole upper zone of zagreb. I think it's a must visit to the whole. I didn't climb this tower. there are views from the balcony opposite as well. The curiosity maybe is the cannon. but I think it's not worth paying to climb. It is worth touring the area.

Adults pay 3 euro entrance and go upstairs. I couldn't set the time, so I didn't see the gunfire. You can turn around from the top and look down at Zagreb. The climbing stairs are narrow, and you'll feel a little troubled when you meet people.
Many people asked the staff if they had a toilet, and the answer was "No." Note.

The Lotrščak Tower is located next to the funicular. It's a
of the best preserved buildings of the old defense system of the city of Zagreb. That's where the Grič cannon is, every day since 1877, at noon, firing a shot. It's worth climbing this tower. Only the 360-degree view of Zagreb is worth it.

Tower was closed but we visited for the daily cannon blast at noon. Right at the top of the funicular. Fun to experience and loud! Lots of people always congregate to see/hear it.

I visited this tower during a walk around Zagreb. It is one of the oldest buildings in Zagreb, standing on a small hill, and was built as a defense base against the Tatar invasion and completed in 1266. A cannon is fired from the south window on the fourth floor every day to signal noon in Zagreb. Due to time constraints, I was unable to see inside, but the first floor currently houses a museum and gift shop, and the upper floor is an observation deck from which you can enjoy a beautiful view of Zagreb city.
