Considered as the most beautiful street in the Croatian capital, in the summer it is full of souvenir bars and everything else.

This is a promenade built on top of a hill. I walked down from St. Mark's Church to the Lotrscak Tower, and then headed down towards Jelacic Square while looking at the city of Zagreb. It is quite unique, with art pieces casually displayed everywhere and graffiti that looks like art. It seems that various events such as a Christmas market in winter are held here. You can enjoy Zagreb in a slightly different way than the typical tourist spots.

Probably one of the best view points of Zagreb, the whole ciry can be seen. Also a central location right in the upper town. Very close to Lotrscak Tower.

The Strossmayer Promenade is a viewing terrace in the Upper Town of Zagreb with great views of the Lower Town.

With the guide Nancy we walked along the remains of the defensive walls of the city of Zagreb, starting this Strossmayer Promenade under the Lotrscak tower which represents a city fortification, we also noticed the statue (a little covered by restoration work) of Anton Gustav Matos sitting on the bench, many trees line this very beautiful road.

This was a lovely green covered walk we started from the exit of the Gric tunnel. It was a short steep section up steps and then a gentle walk along the side of the hill. It has some lovely view down to the lower town. It goes along to Lotrscak tower and then continues along to the love rails. Its a walk down the stairs and down to Ilica street. We loved it and spent some time enjoying the views.

This promenade is a relaxing uphill path (relaxing if you are not afraid of a small climb) which will lead you to the Lotrscak Tower.
Then there you'll enjoy a beautiful view of Zagreb.

Offering spectacular views of Zagreb's Lower Town but also of the surrounding area of the Upper Town is Strossmayer Promenade .
Starting roughly at the old defensive walls by the funicular railway and upto Lotrščak Tower ,the views are really good ,architecture is a mixture of old and new ,interesting features and some great cafés,pubs,bars and restaurants ,it's most definitely well worth checking out if you're planning a holiday to Zagreb.

ZAGREB - Via publica que pode ser facilmente acessada pelo funicular e de onde se tem uma vista linda da cidade baixa. Algumas atrações ,como a torre, estão nela.

My wife and I will have a brief stopover in Zagreb in the early morning of Tuesday 7 August this year. We will have the time from landing at 7:10am to scheduled departure at 3:35pm, so approximately 3.5 to 4 hours outside the airport. Are there any suggestions on places to go in Zagreb to see some sights and to savour the flavours of Croatia? Is it best to get into a taxi, or is there good public transport from Zagreb Airport to Zagreb city (and return)?

Bus ticket in both direction will cost you less then 6 € per person and driving will last about 35 minutes.
Taxi will be at least 20€.
