Maybe it because I was here on a November afternoon but this place looked sad and sparse.
I saw a few people on benches and walking their dogs but the grass and trees were dry in the fall.
The fake lake was drained and you could see pipes poking out, ruining the image of a serene green space in the middle of Bucharest.
I didn't walk the entire length of the park but there was nothing special, nothing like hedges or shrubbery arranged in an artistic layout or perhaps I missed that part.
Hope the park will be spruced up for spring!

This park has really entered my heart.
It may seem trivial what I write but I really loved this park nothing short of spectacular ...
I recommend seeing it because in autumn it has a different charm with all the falling leaves.

This is a park that offers a very pleasant walk. Here you will find everything you need to relax. Play area for children, bodies of water, boat rental or pedal boat and enough to feed or quench your drink. The park is very well maintained and pleasant to walk or just rest there.

Lovely park . Took a pedallo trip on the small lake. We were lucky and had warm sunshine mid October. Outdoor gym. Pretty foliage.

It's a park—it does park things like grow grass, attract pigeons and other animals, and provide space for people to walk around. Solid space.

Stunning beauty natural landscape in the park itself, a wonderful place for a family walk! A little untreated in some places when we visited it. He had something impressive huge organized children's games!

Decent park if you are walking past, nice to take the kids out on a rowing boat and a little play area. Some renovation underway.

Disappointing!
The park is very well located (in the center) and has great potential... but it is NOT well taken care of!

Good park with lakes and alleys. Would use some cleaning and repairs. Water is not too clean, it you can rent a boats. Some cafes around

A nice old park that we stumbled upon during our last day in Bucharest.
This is a large park built in 1847 with an artificial lake, lots of trees, flower beds and places to sit down relax and do a spot of people watching.
There are also various statues, children’s playgrounds, cafes, refreshment kiosks and a really pretty bridge going across the lake where lots of people were taking photos.
We both enjoyed strolling through the park and I would say that it is well worth a visit for a couple of hours and if I lived there I would go there all the time to relax.

How are the autumn colours at the park right now (22/10/2017)? I will be in Bucharest on 24/10 for a single day, and I’d like to know if I should come here to see autumn leaves, or somewhere else.

The leaves are just beginning to turn. The weather has been very warm, so there has not been a frost to turn the trees yet, although some are turning, especially those with red leaves

The answer is "yes"; from Calea Victoriei down to Bulevard Regina Elisabeta and then straight into the park. Not many cycle lanes, but perfectly do-able.
