The place is wonderful, great for taking photos, the only thing I didn't like is that the new recreation manager doesn't even introduce herself to us and what's more, she arrived and already sent away the great entertainers, these entertainers totally cheer up the waves, the entertainers aunt cocoa, aunt big big, uncle panda uncle acerola these are the roots that start the waves with agent they liven up the place # come back aunt coco, panta and aunt big big

Excellent vacation with my family at Playa Palmera Resort, mainly Malvin's advice throughout the entire stay. The resort has everything and has all the services with highly trained staff: private pools and beaches, restaurants with a lot of variety, pharmacy, supermarket, golf courses, nightclub, etc. To fully enjoy and rest your vacation, I highly recommend this resort. Unforgettable Playa Palmera

We would just like to say a very big thank you for a lovely day on the Island of Taboga. We booked the Delux Day Trip and were treated like VIP's from start to finish. The Island is lovely and we enjoyed our 4x4 trip, tour of the town and our meal was one of the best we have had. The Lady was so friendly and a great cook. We enjoyed our time on the beach in the afternoon just relaxing before we took the fast ferry back and the views of Panama City were great to see. If in Panama try not to miss this trip it was a day we will remember as one of the best we had while in Panama. All the people we met took great care of us and wanted you to have a good time, and we did. Wishing you all the very best. Kind regards Alan and Julia.

This was a day trip that fit our schedule and seem exciting based on the write up. Great check-in and easy ferry ride over to the island. Very nice tour of the historic island village and a pleasant lunch experience. Then we went to the "beach" ... think Galveston beach on a bad day minus an oil slick. The vendor who set the group of 12-15 of us up crowded the chairs and umbrellas on absolutely the worst part of a poor beach. Dirty sand, minimal beach front and we were literally washed away just over halfway through our time there. Absolute joke and left me feeling like I got the "tourist special" 3x the price at half the quality. This company needs to pay more attention to the details.
We made the most of it and the kids had a good time in the water.
I would not recommend the trip if the beach is a key part of the agenda for you.

As always, we do appreciate the feedback from our guests, and we thank you for yours as well.
Its unfortunate that you had a poor experience on the beach the day you visited. Normally the Taboga beaches are quite pleasant, with yellow sands and low tides. I can only mention the extreme tides that happen every two or three months here for 3 or 4 days. It's the nature of the beast on the Pacific side in all locations.
In March, we have been experiencing some of these extreme tides, and on a few rogue days there can be tide swells of 16 to 18 feet that can swallow up most of Taboga´s beaches. The sand is not dirty- but rather its a mixture of black sand in the low tide areas and yellow sand in the high tide.
Having said the above, Taboga´s popularity is not its "paradise type" beaches- but rather for its Pirate & World War 2 history as well as Bio-diversity. This and its close proximity to Panama city make it an ideal Day Trip location with a variety of activity options to choose from (beyond the beach)
Additionally, Taboga Island is currently undergoing a major renovation with a 3 million investment of the local Government and much new planning and infrastructure is currently in construction that should be done over the next few months-thus a further beautification of the Island and beaches is just around the corner.

We were to be picked up at 10am from our hotel. They did call and informed us the driver assigned was unable to pick us up but an alternate driver would be able to pick us up at 11....at 11:30 the alternate driver did arrive. Tour did not go to Ancon Hill as advertised even though the road up the hill has been closed for over a month (found that out as we drove by Ancon). The locks are great. The guide was good. Overall, however, the price is pretty steep @ $629 for 4 people for a 4 hour tour.

We really do appreciate this feedback. You are right, and this particular day several last minute issues threw some curve balls at us.
Ancon Hill: There was a freak hurricane in Panama a few months ago that caused the closing of the road to Ancon Hill, and locally we have been waiting for updates and reports from the ACP Canal Authority to determine when the road will be re-opened. However, this is not intended as an excuse as we are currently augmenting the tour itinerary to replace this stop because it has been hit and miss with regards to accessing it.
Please accept our sincerest apologies for the issues encountered this day, and let us know if you are ever returning to Panama so we can offer something special to make it up to your group.

We had a wonderful experience with Alex on our luxury/ private half day tour. Alex picked us up at our hotel and we drove to the Mira Flores Lock for a tour of the museum, watched a short documentary film and watched a ship exit the lock. We also viewed sites of interest around the city. We then walked through Casco Viejo. It was relaxing and informative. I didn't necessarily want an intense history lesson but rather a "peek" into Panamanian life- Alex delivered. I would recommend this tour to anyone interested in getting a flavor of Panama City in a stress-free way! Thanks Alex!

We had a fantastic trip with Nick. He had fantastic information regarding Panama, Panama City, the history, the Canal. He also hiked to the top of Ancon with us and also the tour of Old Town. He was great.
Our day trip to Toboga was also fantastic. Heidi was a great guide and the entire trip went well with no issues and was beautiful place as well.
Both tours were A++

Had a free weekend with Mrs. Tack. Decided to bags some extra AA miles and fly to Panama City. First time there, and with only 1 full day in Panama we booked the Half Day City and Canal tour with PP. Edguardo was our guide and to say the tour was amazing would be an understatement! From the pick up at our hotel to the authentic Panamanian lunch this was one of the best tours we've been on! Edguardo was very knowledgeable. He arrived on time, his van was new and the AC was cold. But the best part was the passion he had for his beautiful city. We are headed back for another weekend on July 28 and will be booking with Panama Pelican again! Cheers!

This was the first time for our family to visit in Panama, and we only had a one day to explore the canal and city.This tour was exactly what we needed. Edgardo was friendly, informative, flexible and accommodating. We really enjoyed his company!

This truly is a private tour. It was just my wife and I. Edgardo shared the intimate details of Panama City and the canal that you just can't get from a tour book. He is a wealth of knowledge and information. The tour was very comfortable and relaxed. We had lunch together at one of Edgardo's favorite restaurants (let him order for you), great local dishes. We were just passing through, but now we are already planning a trip back, and we will take a full day tour this time. If you are still wondering, it is worth the money.
