Booked a catamaran for four and paid deposit on August 17. Received an email receipt with the names of the four of us on the tour. Was unsure of the meeting time so followed up by email August 18. On August 19, got an email from Edoardo Turatti on behalf of the company- his email signature as the catamaran company's website, phone and email - saying, "thanks for your email.I already email softtrakk to disapointed about that ....WE ARE NO MORE OPERETING CHARTER IN PANAMA SINCE THE LAST 4 MOTHES......."
I immediately requested a refund and never heard back from him. Called the credit card company used to book the catamaran and flagged it as a fraudulent charge. When the credit card company followed up with the catamaran company, they had the nerve to send the receipt of the deposit and claim we actually took the tour. Forwarded the email chain to the credit card company and this Tripadvisor page with similar stories, so one way or another, we're getting our money back.
Nearly two months later, so not a word from Edoardo or anyone else at the company.
Their website is no longer working, but take this as a warning that it's a bunch of scam artists in case they start operating again.

I booked this tour to do go with some friends and paid the deposit (429 USD). But a day before the tour I still didn't get any information about the hotel pick-up, so I decided to give them a call.
Apparently the catamaran was in Miami, Florida and not in Panama City, Panama. They said they “forgot” this and would give my deposit back. We are now two weeks later and they stopped answering my mails. I’m not saying this is definitely a scam, but at this moment it is hard to think otherwise…
Hopefully I can recover it because I paid with credit card, but do not book this tour as it maybe is a scam.

As an Airline Captain I made my last duty before retirement. The plan was doing a day-trip with the whole crew on this cat. After more than one aural and written confirmations of which the last written one was 4 days before the boat-trip, the Italian captain/owner of the cat let us down completely on the actual day: No Pick-up at the hotel, No boat-trip! He took off with another party. This totally unreliable behavior ruined/destroyed my last flight experience irreparable.

I arrived yesterday night; I was out of Panama, in a place with really big problems of communication....Cuba.
I realize just yesterday night, talking with Rosa, about your/our big miss understood.....she didn't receive your confirmation and she thought you decided different way...... ( we go out with just 7 crew.....with more less money )
I understand your disagree ....REALLY I HAD YOUR POSITION!!!! I know it's too late ......

Superbe journée beaucoup de chance. que nous 3 comme clients. le personnel du bateau adorable navigation aux voiles plutôt rare pour une journée d'excursion un Cata en état impeccable toilette etc... pâtes aux fruits de mer bien boissons à volontés bon vin blanc. Je recommande vivement pour une journée tranquille aux portes de panama city. Évidement le pacifique n'est pas les Caraïbes. Eau verte et sombre. Nous avons adorée cette journée privé sur un Cata. Demandez bien le nombres de passager avant. Plus de 12 je recommande pas le bateau serait un peu juste. A signaler pour un bateau d'excursion à la journée celui-ci est presque neuf il mériterait que on le loue pour 2 ou 3 jours...

A great day sail from Coronado, Panama from the Vista Mar marina to Noriega Island and back. The crew, William and Darling, were super. They responded to our every need, provided plenty of food and drink. Lots of water sports while anchored near the island. Paddle board, kayak, snorkeling, and a floating island. Highly recommend, will go again with this crew next month.

Tuve la oportunidad de disfrutar de un paseo para el avistamiento de ballenas en compañia de mi esposa, desde la primera llamada la Sra. Noris fue muy atenta en el asesoramiento. El paseo fue tal cual la descripción y lo contratado, el catamaran está en muy buenas condiciones, la atención a bordo es muy buena, el paseo para ver las ballenas es una experiencia muy bonita. El paseo incluye el almuerzo y todas las bebidas (cerveza, vino blanco, ron y sodas). Paseo muy recomendable, quedamos con la intención de volver.

Chi si lamenta è un pazzo!!! Catamarano fantastico e comandante ( Un toscanaccio DOC) spettacolare. Eravamo in mezzo al mare ma sembrava di essere a casa, cucina a 5 stelle .... tutto ottimo assolutamente consigliato .....

We have done many of these trips for about $80 each that were much better this. The service was terrible, we had to make our own drinks, they served us cheap crackers for a snack and a mushy overcooked sea food spaghetti for lunch that had no flavor. My husband tried to use the kayak and it was taking in water. They stopped 3 times and told us "OK you can swim here" in really deep dark water. Save you money and take the ferry to Taboga island for $20, the catamaran goes there anyway and and parks in front of the beach, and go for a nice lunch.

Lovely day. Crew was delightful. (Capt William and two terrific women) Capt Will actually turned the boat around to go back and scoop my husbands hat up that had blown overboard, over our protests! Yummy Pasta with seafood lunch plus all the beer, wine or soft drinks you wanted. We had a about 17 passengers total plus 3 crew. Would have been better with fewer people I think. Made 2 stops to paddle board and kayak and swim. Some were bitten by jellyfish but seemed to take it in stride. Quickly attended to by crew.
(Just a cautionary note for germaphobes: all the cups provided are plastic and were immediately hand washed for reuse. No disposables)

I tried to go to the website but it looks like they are still working on it. Is this a day trip that would suitable with kids too (3 and 5-we have our own life jackets) And do you know if they have a reduced rate for kids?
