Great course and well worth the trip to play it. Was not busy the day we played, and we had the place to our self.
No range at the course but they do have a warm-up hitting cage next to the putting green and first tee
We did a package through Sugarloaf and were able to play both courses and stay up at Sugarloaf. A very good value

Had business in Boston, decided to take a couple days off up in Maine last week of July. Brought along clubs, decided to play Belgrade Lakes. Glad I did.
Absolutely beautiful golf course. Really spectacular. Wonderful vistas. Great, playable holes. Built on a mountain, well designed so you play most holes downhill to flat. They don't make you work yourself back up the hills due to great design. And you feel like a hero with the distance on the downhill shots!
Course was in spectacular condition. Top notch. I wish my country club was in this good of shape. Turkey sandwich was monstrous size, and tasty. Lobster rolls, which are everywhere in Maine in the summer, was one of the better I had on the trip. The starter and golf staff we super friendly, easy to get along with and non-rushed. Great, friendly people. As were the folks manning the food/drink emporium.
Pricey at $130/person plus cart fee. But a really beautiful course. I thought it was a good value.
Something special - we hit the hottest week of the year. 90 degrees and humid! It was like Orlando, and not much breeze. I bought 18 holes for us both, but at the turn realized we were simply spent. Just not in shape for 18 in this weather. I asked the golf shop if we could convert from 18 to 9 on fees. Now, I have no right to ask for this - and most folks simply say "no refunds" (and well within their right.) But they took such pity on us, and were so cognizant of the heat, that they actually voided my first credit card run and rebilled me for 9 holes. Now THAT IS SERVICE, and the manager did it with a smile! Deserving of a top rating here on Trip Advisor.

Fabulous greens and fairways, every hole is a challenge, the scenery in the fall is magnificent. It is beautifully located in the Belgrade Lakes Region about 45 minutes from Augusta.

We joined our niece and her kids for lunch here and ordered from the counter service on the patio- a nice selection of sandwiches. Aside from my hike up to the top of a mountain to see the lake region from above, and our drive up tp blueberry hill, this was the best long range scenic view of the area we found in our week's visit. They also offer nice appetizers on this pretty patio from 4-6 with different offerings than the lunch menu which is mainly sandwiches and not a lot of salads. Very nice waitress went out of her way to help us and pro shop is also a fun stop. Highly recommended. A bit pricey for sandwiches but worth the visit.

My husband and I had the pleasure of playing the course early in October. The course was in great shape and the weather was very pleasant. The view from the club house was spectacular! The lakes in the distance and the surrounding golf course made for a wonderful spot to spend a fall day. The course was very well maintained and the fairways and greens were great, even late in the season. We really enjoyed the variety of shots required to play the course. Although we strarted on the back nine, we were impressed with the elevated tees and well protected greens. The hike from the parking area was very steep, a cart is recommended. The Belgrade Lakes course is on our list of favourites for a golf getaway.

This course is designed to give you a challenge and yet you will want to return. The double green on 9 and 18 make for an interesting club selection when completing the round; especially, if the pin in right center on 18. The par threes are very easily pared and the second 9 will give the best golfers a challenge. The rock walls can be intimidating of you slice or hook, so plan on position golf. The holes are designed to make you use most of the clubs in your bag. Great pro shop with pleasant people. The course is not as far as Sugarloaf and the cost is more. Don't be afraid to drive your cart up on the par fives to see the green; especially, the dog leg. Great putting green as well. $150.00 each with cart

This is one of the best golf courses I've ever played. I'm a moderate player and my husband has a very low handicap so we don't always enjoy the same course. We both loved Belgrade. Course is in immaculate condition, challenging but fair. Service was also exceptional. They even had fresh grout on one of the holes- a welcome surprise on a hot day. Definitely coming back.
