The owner was very knowledgeable & patient. In pool learning sessions are well done and removes all fears. You will wonder why you never did this before

Chesapeake's owner, Mike, runs an excellent scuba program and is very beginner friendly. This is a great shop to start your scuba training. Theory classes are held in the shop,,they follow the PADI program. They have a one day intro class and kindly let us apply that to our certification program. Mike is very gracious and allows extra sessions if you are having an issue mastering a particular skill. The cool thing is he has a group of his regulars who almost form a club - they take scuba vacations together and help teach classes, so the instructor to student ratio is very low, sometimes one-on-one.
The shop is small, I but filled to overflowing with scuba supplies.
Highly recon you contact Mike if you tears thinking about giving scuba a try.

Add this to your Bucket List! My wife bought this as a gift for us and we had a blast. Mike the owner of Chesapeake Underwater Sports conducted the theory class where he really took the time to explain not just the basics but the science behind diving. Joe our dive master took us out in a heated pool and patiently taught us the basics. My wife took to it like a fish to water. I almost quit because of my initial reaction to breathing under water. But Joe was incredibly patient and encouraged me to stay and take baby steps. By the end of the class I was swimming under water.
