Wonderful tour. We recommend taking the riding tour ( over sized golf cart car) . Very informative. Makes you feel in awe of the young men and women who make yhe commitment to our country.

Better than we anticipated! We walked downtown area to the gate and went through security. There is a museum and gift shop right after security. We then walked around the campus the best we could around rain downpours. It was exciting to see cadets doing their thing. We got to see some of the football team doing warmups on a field. Just a real American experience and proud they serve our country. Our 16 yo daughter was with us and we talked about endless opportunities people can have by joining the Navy.

We loved exploring the Naval Academy. We reserved a walking tour through the visitors center on campus. It was a nice, very informative tour. Note that if you do not have a military ID or a handicap placard you will not be able to park on campus. Street parking is minimal area and you have to pay by app. We had lunch on campus at The Alley on campus and it was delicious and a lovely place to eat.

We took the GEM tour and our guide Kevin was a peach. We learned a great deal about the Naval Academy and the midshipmen experience, as his son was once a student. Could not recommend the tour or him more!

The U.S. Naval Academy should be on everyone's list when visiting the Annapolis area. We took a 10:30 tour and were so glad we did. One may purchase tickets on line; however, our group of 8 was easily accommodated on a Saturday morning. I recommend watching the video before your tour for some background information and to learn about the rigorous program at the academy. Our guide was interesting and a wealth of knowledge. The campus is beautiful and the granite buildings are well kept inside and out. The chapel is stunning, and the lovely grounds are immaculate.

We enjoyed the Naval Academy. We took the 90 minute walking tour which was very informative. We also happened to be there during graduation week so we saw the Blue Angels perform! Annapolis is a great vacation!

Touring a naval academy would not usually be my first choice to do, but I was pleasantly surprised how beautiful it was. I like all the things mentioned in previous reviews. But I was especially enamored with the handful of homes on the “captains row”. The architecture was beautiful and all the neat details like the house numbers on the ball lights in the center of each porch. It looked like a movie set. Don’t miss it on your tour!!!

You can’t go to Annapolis without visiting the Academy. It will make any American proud and gives hope for the future of Democracy. Don’t miss the museum and the Bone Ship Models. Lunch at the Alley is excellent.

Beautiful campus, peaceful walk through the wonderful area. Walking ours are available but you can also tour without one.

Thoroughly enjoyed our tour of the Naval Base. The Naval Academy is steeped in history. The driver of our tour car was extremely knowledgeable and interesting.

I will be visiting in May. What times can I see the formations and if it is graduation am I able to go on campus and do a tour? Are there gradual activities that are open to the public?

On the football game day when the brigade of Midshipmen march to the stadium from campus, will there be some road closures to the public/cars? When and how long? I read somewhere that they start marching one hour prior to the kickoff time.

Never times it but it is a great walk through the Yard. About 10 minutes, depending on how fast you walk. But there's a lot to see in between!

My son went to Summer Seminar in June and we did a parent tour. About 90 minutes but, spent 2 more hours on our own and didn't see all. It is an awesome place. The buildings are first class! Go to the cemetery to see McCain's grave and the Chapel is a must see!,
