This was hands down the best kids experience I've ever done. The crew and staff go above and beyond to create a fully involved, exciting, engaging, and magical experience for the kids. We took our 4 year old and 1 year old, and while the 1 year old couldn't really engage in much the 4 year old was completely enamored with the whole experience. The crew of the boat and the captain were so amazing at engaging the kids and it was really fun!! Would recommend this again and again, it was really great.

A 5 star operation all the way around. They make it so fun for the kids, and the cruise is relaxing for parents too. The kids get treasure to take home, which is all small toys and no candy. The funnest part is the (completely safe and easy to use) water cannons!! A truly lovely day on the water, suitable for even littlest kids. Come early so the kids can get their free piratey facepaint! And remember sunscreen!

This was such a fun adventure. We took our 4 and 6 year old boys and they had a blast. The crew is so engaging! You can buy some add-ons (think $5 for a foam sword), but the sash and face painting / tattoos are included. It's 2 days later and my boys are still playing with their swords and treasure and looking out to see if they can find Pirate Pete again. We've do our fair share of kid activities and I would definitely rate this one toward the top!

We took our 4 year old grandson on the Pirate Ship cruise in Annapolis last week. He had a great time. The crew was outstanding. They did a great job with the children. It was interesting and fun. They made sure that all of the children were involved and helped each one participate at their individual comfort level. They put a lot of thought into the cruise activities. I highly recommend the Pirate ship cruise. Your children will not be disappointed.

OMG!! They were so amazing with the kids ! And delt with the adults . It was an adventure by the most professional and experienced company I have ever had . If you are looking at this review to decide , you will never regret doing it . I would give them 100 out of 10 in a review .

This was way worth the trip! Our kids are 7 and 5, and this was right up their alley. The staff does a tremendous job keeping the kids engaged and making them feel included from the get-go. They have several different activities they involve the kids with leading up to the ship and while on the adventure. The staff make it fun, funny, innovative, and embrace the pirate culture. I couldn't think of any suggestions for how it could be better, and I'm typically a highly critical person. This was top notch fun for my kids, and that made it top notch fun for me as a parent.

I don’t ever write reviews, but I have to for this experience because it was so good!!! I can’t say enough about the incredible staff and how they went out of their way to engage every child from the moment we entered the property! The storyline was incredible, the staff members so kind, engaging, and funny, and the boat ride such a pleasure. They thought of every detail, and every member of our family, from children to grandparents, had the best time. Thank you, Boots, Captain, Captain in Training, and the entire Pirate Adventures on the Chesapeake team for a wonderful experience that we will always remember!

Such a great experience for age 4 - 8. The staff was GREAT (special mention to Misty!!!). A unique kid friendly time that truly engaged their imagination.

Awesome crew they set up the birthday party room for us, the kids loved it, can pre order pizza through them, but make sure they have confirmation first, they did forget some of the items kids are supposed to get that's included, they really didnt tell us, they did forget to add the mermaid package that I paid for too, I set up a time when I booked it and then when getting there it was at a different later time, if people don't show you still get charged for them regardless. No air conditioning in birthday party room it was 91 degrees outside and it was hot in the party room.
I think they need to already have what each child gets prior in bags with names on them and hand to the person who booked it, I also will add that I had a family member call prior and changed my pizza order and drinks order and I paid for the party and the food. I think the person who pays for the party should only be the one to authorize any changes. I think they get so busy with people coming in things happens. I think when they have down time any time during the week they should prepare and place all items that kids receive in bags and given to the person who booked the party.

Our family went on the Pirate Adventures earlier this year and tried for a second time. The first time was for a birthday party and we'd always heard how hands-on the staff was. Unfortunately this couldn't have been further from the truth. The staff seemed uninterested and like they didn't want to be out there at all. No energy and just going through the motions. The kids could tell and therefore didn't have as much fun as they were hoping.
We bought a voucher in the spring before our first trip for the birthday party. After the first trip we never would have given them a second chance but since we already paid for the voucher we figured we would give it another try. I called Pirate Adventures and spoke to Emily who helped book this trip. A couple of days after we had a family emergency come up which was at the same day and time as the trip we booked. I called Pirate Adventures back and Emily answered again but would not allow us to change our date or time unless we upgraded to the full price package instead of the voucher we had already purchased. When I voiced my displeasure she talked over me without stopping to which I eventually had to hang up. Needless to say we will not be going on this trip nor giving any business to this company in the future. While we understand many people have had positive interactions with this company, we felt it was important to share this unfortunate poor customer service.
