Our family went on the Pirate Adventures earlier this year and tried for a second time. The first time was for a birthday party and we'd always heard how hands-on the staff was. Unfortunately this couldn't have been further from the truth. The staff seemed uninterested and like they didn't want to be out there at all. No energy and just going through the motions. The kids could tell and therefore didn't have as much fun as they were hoping.
We bought a voucher in the spring before our first trip for the birthday party. After the first trip we never would have given them a second chance but since we already paid for the voucher we figured we would give it another try. I called Pirate Adventures and spoke to Emily who helped book this trip. A couple of days after we had a family emergency come up which was at the same day and time as the trip we booked. I called Pirate Adventures back and Emily answered again but would not allow us to change our date or time unless we upgraded to the full price package instead of the voucher we had already purchased. When I voiced my displeasure she talked over me without stopping to which I eventually had to hang up. Needless to say we will not be going on this trip nor giving any business to this company in the future. While we understand many people have had positive interactions with this company, we felt it was important to share this unfortunate poor customer service.

This is a great experience for children, grand children and their adults: The people running it are enthusiastic and cheerful and work hard to make it fun for the kids. "Mariana" (her "Pirate Name") was just terrific and so was the "Captain" Really nice be on the water, and to see the kids have such a good time. It all starts with lovely people painting arms and faces with "Pirate" pictures. Then a brief course in Pirate language and off to the ship, to seek the Pirate treasure. It is all really well done, and when the crew (kids) pull the Pirate chest from the "ocean" it is full of coins, and small toys. The kids each get to get a share, a hand full, and then Mariana throws more into their loot bag. There's more, but the point is, if you have the time and the kids, this is worth doing.

This adventure was absolutely awesome. I am a grandmother and my name is Lolli...we had Lollicamp and this was the best part iof our camp. They really engage the kids. The crew/captain are so full of personality. So engaging with the children. Loved it. 5 stars for sure!

Brilliant fun. Brilliant value. Our 6 year old boy had a whale of a time….. the staff threw themselves into it with cheesy gusto and even gave a few laughs to the grown ups…. Well done guys….. Aaaarrreerrgggggghhhhhhh!!!!

We were in Washington DC visiting our 5 year old grandson looking for things to do. We found Pirate Adventure and 30 minute drive to Annapolis. Staff was great and all of the activities in being a pirate and finding the treasure made it non stop fun for him. He could not stop talking about with this family and friends for days.

Great staff and crew who are all great with kids (mine were 2 yo and 4 yo boys). The pirate ship itself was clean and safe with no way of kids falling off. Went on Memorial Day weekend and the weather was perfect! The pirate narrative/storyline was great that kept the kids engaged and excited always waiting for the next piece of the story.

Kids had a blast the staff were energized, yet I had hoped for them to be dressed and act more like pirates. I have been on a pirate trip out of Baltimore and all staff were dressed as pirates and only spoke as pirates not so much banter between each other that was lost on the kids but for the adults. The music was a bit too loud.

Awesome time with my 9 year old. At first she told me she was going to be too scared . But we got her a hat and sword she got to pick out a tattoo and had a bunch of other kids to interact with. The staff was great very engaged with the kids. I do recommend you don’t forget sunblock. After it she told me it was her best time ever.

This is an incredible experience for any kid. We happened to be in town and found out about this. My kids loved the whole thing. They still talk about months later. It is really well done. This is a great attraction for any kid.

We went on this yesterday (7/13/21) with our 6 year old, 4 year old and infant. It was amazing!! From when we got to the place until we left the staff were energetic and engaged all the kids. The adventure was so exciting and on the boat when my daughter was scared and didn’t want to participate, Captain Swell went out of her way to get her involved and then she ended up loving it! Kids haven’t stopped talking about how much they loved it! Definitely worth doing!!
