It is a wonderful first museum for young scientists. It is small and not overwhelming. A fine collection of relatable fossils and exhibits. It is doable in a short visit. Kids have limited attention spans, this one perks them up for the bigger ones like Aggaziz or the NYC masterpiece.

This museum was originally a "time-filler" between activities while we were visiting our son at UMass for the weekend. Once we arrived at the museum, we were pleasantly surprised at the variety of topics covered. Although many of the exhibits were display molds, a good number were genuine artifacts discovered through archaeological digs and findings. the museum is located in a great area - centrally located to anything we needed. Added bonus that the exhibit was free; we'll be back!

The museum is very well done and an exciting place to visit! The exhibits are designed to allow maximum viewing ability. The labels are very educational. Staff are helpful in answering questions and gave us a nice orientation to the venue. Definitely a museum worth exploring more than once!

This is a nice spot to check out some cool fossils and dinosaur footprints (a big mammoth and giant elk and Sabertooth are the highlights) along with a big stone and mineral collection and some exhibits on geology. It’s quite small, but the staff is kind and there’s a lot to see for the size of it (you can ask for a scavenger hunt for your kids). We only spent about an hour there but we enjoyed it with our 7 and 9 year old.

It's a little small, but they have a great variety of bones and minerals. Great displays and the plaques are nicely thought out.

All though not the largest natural history museum, every exhibit is excellently presented. Besides the large exhibits, there are drawers and drawers of interesting small artifacts that are open to the public to peruse. My grandchildren (5, 7, and 9) spent a good 1-1/2 to 2 hours at each visit,

My wife and I toured this as we waited for my daughter. We spent about 30 minutes looking at the skeletons and the large room downstairs looking at the dinosaur track collection.
