Wir waren im August 2019 hier über Nacht. Qornok ist eine der aufgelassenen Siedlungen, die Einwohner zogen nach Nuuk. Viele der Häuser werden heute als Ferien/Wochenendhäuser genutzt.
Durch den heissen Sommer war der See, welcher das Wasser für die Siedlung liefert, ausgetrocknet. Nette Nachbarn haben uns Ihre Schubkarre geliehen. Wir haben einen am Ufer liegenden Eisberg zerhackt und das Eis im Topf für den Verbrauch geschmolzen.
Alles Nötige muss mitgebracht werden, es gibt nichts zu kaufen. Ein Ausflug, der uns in eine andere Zeit versetzt.
Überhaupt: diese Ruhe und die Abwesenheit jeglicher künstlicher Düfte, was man daran hat merkt man erst, wenn man in Kopenhagen wieder aus dem Flugzeug steigt.

This is a beautiful, small, partially abandoned settlement on a small island in the fjord near Nuuk. No one lives here full-time anymore but many people still use their family homes as a weekend summer getaway place.

Schitterend vrijwel verlaten eilandje waar je rustig kunt rondlopen en genieten. Zijn in de kerk geweest met museumpje op zolder. Zeer de moeite waard.

This was the original site of what is now Nuuk, whose people were moved into town to better provide services. Now it is making a comeback with summer homes. It has a classic old church with actual candle chandeliers and a small museum in the attic. It's got great views and is fun to walk through;

We arrived at this restaurant/guesthouse after a chilly one hour boat trip from Nuuk among beautifully sculptured icebergs.
The boat stopped on the way, and we threw a fishline in the icy waters. After 10 minutes we had 8 fish, each one about 2-3 kg.
At the restaurant the Thai staff prepared a very tasty dish, which was accompanied by salad, lamb chops and delcious Thai dishes.
It was the freshest fish dish we ever had - one hour after it swam in the sea, it was in our plate.
On the way back we were treated with a golden sunset that casted beautiful colours on the snow capped mountains.

We visited this as part of a tour. The cod we caught about 15 mintues prior to arriving were cooked and served to us. We also got to try musk ox soup. The food was good. Not a lot to see or places to sit while you wait your turn but in the nice warm weather that was fine. The beverage wasn't included as part of our tour and if their wifi is down they only take cash for the drinks.

Оригинальное , красивое и заброшенное место , нужно угадать с погодой и останетесь в восторге . Плыть из города около часа.Великолепная свежая рыба !!!

Qornok is definitely a nice place, and I enjoyed visiting it a lot - but to be honest, what I really enjoyed was sailing there and sailing back to Nuuk. The sailing trip was really great - walking around in Qornok was very nice.

Var i år inde ved Qoornoq en weekend og reparere på en hytte sammen med 5 andre. Skønt sted - totalt fred - ingen stres eller jag. Stedet hvor man for alvor kan finde behag i en god bog. Øen er forholdsvis overskuelig - man kan tage den store tour på et par timer. Husk at steder som Qoornoq stadig ikke er "ødelagt" med indlagt strøm, vand, træk og slip og lignende. Der er derfor en del selvfølgeligheder fra civilisationen man skal lære at man godt kan lever foruden - og det kan man!
