The cast did a commendable job on the Mutiny of the Bounty and the theatre was well set up and the scenery and production were excellent would recommend this to all travelers pity about the temperature we were very cold on the night so take some rugs or blankets.

A commendable performance by the local actors. The performance is intended to be educational and it is. The theatre is purpose-built for the performance of "mutiny on the bounty". It is outdoors, and at night, there are little "nats" that can be a nuisance. I don't know what happens if it rains! The performance is usually only once per week. Check with Pinetree Tours.
NOTE FOR tripadvisor: This attraction is incorrectly named and for some reason does not appear as a "thing to do" on Norfolk Island. The correct name of the location is the "Salty Theatre".

This was a very interesting and believable performance by the cast (many of whom are direct descendants of the characters they play) who acted out the events leading up to and following the mutiny. A particular thanks to those whose role it was to raise and lower the longboat from the replica of the Bounty to the water. This enactment not only provides entertaining drama of events but also helps to pass on the story to the next generation of descendants.
