The convent may be the best of the ruins here in Antigua. It offers an opportunity to learn about life here several hundred years ago. The site is quite large so please check the map at the entry to understand the different areas. The laundry is mostly still there, interestingly. There’s more than one floor remaining in some areas. The pieces of the ceiling which fell in the earthquake are remarkable thick speaking to the effort and expense of construction. Too bad the poor had to pay for this. This is a “must visit” if you are interested in the local ruins.

These are ruins but still very impressive. You can still appreciate the architectural beauty. Really could have spend more time than I did here.

Fell in love with this beautiful site. My daughter had her wedding here and it was a fairy tale come to life. Not only are the ruins of the convento unreal but the views are breathtaking . The climate is also perfect. Everything was amazing.

Located to the east of the city, this convent is in ruins like many other monuments in the city. The cloister is really very large and walking around the ruins is pleasant.

The entrance to the convent is 40 GTQ. About two blocks from the Parque Central and accross from Tanque La Union.
Convent has intricate facade with preserved doorways and sculptures. Inside you can wander arcades and, as with other ruined convents, it has a little plaza with a fountain. There is small museum inside.
The convent is great for photographers.
The only downside is that once you saw a few of the ruined convents, you become a bit blase to the history and architecture.

The history of this place really is impressive and they did a great job restoring it after it was mostly destroyed. It's very beautiful and quiet and calming to be here, well worth the price of admission. Worth 20-30 mins of your day to experience the history and architecture here.

Yo acabo de ir el día de ayer y me costó 80 quetzales, y hay varios lugares como el cerro de la Cruz, la plaza central, ir a escalar algún volcán cercano.
Y sí es barata la comida, claro que depende qué lugar vayas a comer
