We call for late night drinks on the roof terrace, a fun place. Good music being played and a good atmosphere - recommended.
You can eat here but we had eaten earlier so cannot advise on food. It was busy though so maybe you need to book for food!

Wonderful pub food! The Irish stew, fish & chips were a pleasant surprise. Very friendly Irish oasis in Guatemala

The Snug felt like a home from home. The owner Rory couldn’t have been more welcoming and he had us in stitches with his stories! The rooftop bar is a great place to chill with friend siete views of the surrounding volcanoes.
All of the food and alcohol is reasonably priced and If you’re missing a good cup of tea or English breakfast this is definitely the place to come. They also had great vegetarian options for my partner.

Fantastic vibe, great staff, Alejandro was a great host. Fantastic views from the upstairs balcony, the volcanos as a backdrop is a great atmosphere

Bar is phenomenal, 1 member of the team not so much...
Went there on the 19th Nov, got 3 beers and some food for 3 of us, did the dollar quetzal exchange, was $40,
Went up acatenango, came back next day, had 6 ciders, 3 beers 3 food, burgers , on leaving got charged 114 dollars, different person paying he didn't think anything of it. We left, but we're meeting people there later.
On the way out the rip off scum bag who overcharged said something about chicas on our exit, I was told this referred to females, travelling with my sister and her husband, so 2 male 1 female . Cheeky cow.
Our bill was almost doubled, 3x30q is 90q,
6x 35q is 210q, 3x 55q is 165q
Total 465q divided by their rate of 7q to a dollar=66 dollars.
Turned up 2hrs later, she tried the same trick again, this time trying to charge me this time in dollars not quetzals , with no exchange rate .
Pulled her up about it and she very quickly changed the $ to Q.
Be careful. She wears very little, thinks she's hot, but just a dirtbag.

Rica comida, cerveza fría! Pedimos varios platos irlandeses y todos ricos. Un pie irlandes de steak que estaba espectacular, super recomendado. Buena música y la terraza tiene una vista muy buena. Me imagino que por la tarde/noche el vibe debe ser aun mejor (almorzamos)

This spot is amazing! Food, atmosphere, service, and drinks are spot on!! The owner, Rory, is so fun and interesting. The rooftop is gorgeous. The staff it's super attentive and lovely.

The Snug is a cute Irish bar located right next to the Tanque La Union and the Convent of Santa Clara. It consists of a downstairs indoor bar/restaurant area, a small patio, and a really nice rooftop terrace with a small bar. The staff speaks English, so anglos should not have a stressful time ordering their pint of Guinness or Smithwick's. The Snug offers a full menu of mostly pub grub which includes my favorite: the scotch egg, which I found pretty damn good. Prices are a bit on the high side but nothing out of the ordinary in Antigua. But considering that you get to order in English, sit on a terrace, and gaze upon the ruins of an ancient convent while sipping your beverage of choice the prices are actually really reasonable.
